Phoenix is going absolutely nowhere with this poor roster construction. If they're unable to pull off a slick retool, they should just blow it up.

He was playing like back in the day Kawhi for awhile earlier this season. It's fun to laugh at the LAC's but as a fan I wish I could see a healthy playoff Kawhi one last time.

Along with death and taxes.

Yep, so sad. Had he stayed for just one extra year, he might have been able to pull off another championship with the Raps. He just couldn't pass up going home, and it seems like semi-retirement.

Who do they trade? Booker?

They are stuck with Beal.

They should trade Booker. He will fetch the most. Trade him to OKC? They have the assets.

edit: would SGA and Booker work? I don't see why not.

What choice do they have? At this point it looks like there's no escape from getting swept. They can't compete with Minnesota.

I guess he is the obvious choice, but who would chase him? Would swapping Mitchell for Booker help the Suns?

While all the analysts thought the Suns were a bad matchup for the TWolves, it has been the opposite.

Twolves are probably the 2nd best team in the West for the playoffs, so for the Suns, they just ran into the wrong team.

Yeah, this is pretty rough to watch lol. How can you have that many star players and get just dummied every game.

Just too much of the same style of star players. It is the salaries that are the real killers.

What I can’t understand is how all 3 have lost the ability to shoot 3’s

It’s kind of crazy how much Anthony Edwards has changed the Wolves culture.

It's still crazy to me that Booker is the only Sun left from the 2021 Finalists. Too much turnover.

Yeah he was playing great this season for a long stretch. It's not shape, or being washed now, it's his knee. Sad he couldn't be full strength right now

No Curry, James, or KD in the second round of the playoffs. A new era has begun.

Neither Lillard or Durant are capable of producing in the playoffs and winning anything significant lately. Both players a huge chunk of the Raptors fanbase desperately wanted on the Raps very recently, and happily agreed to shear major assets to do so.

:D

Bobby Marks: Tax Teams and the Playoffs 1. Golden State- eliminated in the play-in 2. LAC- down 2-1 3. Phoenix- down 2-0 4. Boston- tied 1-1 5. Milwaukee- down 2-1 6. Denver- up 3-0 7. Miami- tied 1-1 8. LAL- down 3-0 – via Twitter BobbyMarks42

Suns finished now and in future
Beal owed 150M next 3 years with a NMC
Picks owed to BRK
Durant 36 this year
Zero depth

Love seeing the Suns get clowned. There’s no shortcuts to winning in the NBA anymore. You gotta have a 10 man roster to compete. They’re not going anywhere with that roster. I love KD as a player but he deserves this for his continued poor career decisions. Had he stuck it out with OKC his career arch probably would’ve been better (they were legit contenders when he bailed). I think they’ll run it back again and try to retool on the margins. If they still suck then they may need to cash out on KD and Book and rebuild.

Although they overpaid for Gobert, I’m glad to see the Twolves do well. Smaller market and nice to see new teams compete in the NBA.

I love Kawhi but he’s finished. You can’t compete with your main guy uncertain every single night. Clippers are lost when he’s out there and unhealthy since they defer to him. They need to sit him out for the series and try to win without him. There’s no reason a team with PG, Harden, Russ, Norm, etc can’t take that series to 7. I don’t think the Clippers trade Kawhi/PG since it gives them false hope they can remain a contender but the experiment has been a complete failure. Those guys can’t stay healthy and the West has become more competitive.

I'm enjoying this schadenfreude moment regarding Kevin Durant - remembering those zillions of post willing to pay almost any price for the Raptors to acquire Durant.

Bucks biggest issue is coaching but Giannis is still in his prime and they can always trade Dame if they want to go in a different direction.

Denver and Boston are obviously fine.

The Heat are also fine but they need to stop being arrogant and start trading some assets to consolidate. They are going nowhere and have to make a big decision on how much they want to invest in Jimmy.

Suns, Lakers, Clippers are in trouble and need to blow things up.

It’s crazy Ishbia decided to mortgage their future when they were already legit contenders. Sure, Ayton was a problem but they could’ve retooled to try to win rather than these drastic moves that have actually made them worse. You can’t compete in the modern NBA without depth. Ishbia actually made them worse now and in the future (they have no assets left).
