Your definition of a successful season if Kawhi doesn't stay?

Would anything but a ring be seen as a successful season if Kawhi leaves? If not what would you be content with in that scenario?

I would consider getting to the Finals as a successful season. No shame in losing to the stacked Warriors

I think if he competes hard, the team plays with passion but loses in the Finals or even ECFs and he still wants to leave, the season is a success. We're all going to die in the end anyway. enjoy the ride.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Finals appearance is the bar for me. With Lebron out west I'm pretty confident the team would've made at least the ECF before the trade. If Kawhi can't help propel the team into at least the Finals and also leaves next summer then the season overall was a disappointment (from a final W/L record standpoint).

Conference finals/NBA finals or trade for a solid prospect or pick

The season is already a success. Instead of being content with just being good, Masai made a move that can potentially make us great. The Raptors, finally, have a legit chance to reach the NBA finals.

A) Getting to the finals
B) starting the rebuild a year earlier

If we all just have fun i think that’s a great success right there

But really, Finals would be a successful season, push the Warriors to 6 or 7 would be amazing

finals duh.

I want to and expect to make the Finals, but I can live with 50+ wins and a trip to the ECF if that's how it turns out.

If he doesn't stay, we need to flip him for rebuilding assets.

if he leaves, hope we can do a s & t get something back and plan the rebuild
this trade regardless for me will always be a win/win

Finals appearance....ECF loss to Celtics/Sixers with Kawhi leaving doesn't seem successful to me...

Kawhi showing up and playing a healthy season at his 2016-2017 peak.

If that happens then we've got our shot however we finish.

A hypothetical to consider: Kawhi isn't 100% and is behaving poorly with team officials, Raps struggles under Nurse, Celtics look better than the Raptors by a good margin.

Under these circumstances I wouldn't be opposed to moving Kawhi at the deadline for a valuable long-term piece.
