Players are allowed to push refs intentionally?
Atleast that's what it looked like.

You don't see the same goaltender win it all again and again.

QB position is the whole ball of wax. You often see hockey teams win a cup without a top-flight goalie. Not so with quarterbacks and Super Bowl teams. As we just saw again this year.

And the Jays are disproving the old cliche about "pitching and defence" being enough to win.

The Raven's won the Superbowl with Trent Dilfer as their QB. Only reason they won was because their defense was unstoppable

Yeah and a few other average game manager type QBs have won the Super Bowl, not many though.

Why wasn’t Woll playing the entire series? I thought it was common knowledge that he was the better goalie but maybe I’m wrong

Defense and QB play have always mattered but with recent rule changes and the general offense based direction the NFL has taken the league QB by far is the most important position in sports. Brady and Mahomes prove this.

If they get in between two players incidental contact happens. I don't think they can blatantly push on purpose though.

Wow great game. Matthew knies was a key factor. Blocking shots, creatinf the puck efficiently. I was really impressed with his performance.

Edit: CLEARING the puck efficiently. Also getting the puck deep by making the smart play when there's no rush opportunity. Domi and Knies and Bertuzzi are the three main guys that made an impression on me the past couple games but what do I know.

My friends who are knowledgable about hockey were saying this before game 1. My question is how does the head coach screw this up so bad.

Feels like the guys just kinda threw their hands up at the end with a guaranteed W. At that point, you have to go 100 to get that shutout for your goalie.

this is what happens when you have a competent goalie, you just cant be behind the 8-ball every single game especially in the playoffs.

Despite the pressure being on the Leafs for historically getting owned by the Bruins in the past decade playoffs wise, all the pressure is on Boston especially after their collapse last year against Florida and history could be repeating itself. Whoever wins game 7 will play Florida. Matthew Tkachuk the known pest will be relishing at the thought of playing either of these teams and it'll be too much fun.

Really am impressed with Wolls and hopefully he can hold the fort down in game 7.
