I would take a player like Brad Marchand over a player like Austin Matthews any day of the week. His impact to winning is ridiculous.

Matthews comes up short again in the playoffs. What else is new?

They’ll have to do something. You can’t just keep running the same team back every year.

I believe this will make 7 out of 8 first round exits in the 'Auston Matthews' era. That's just embarrassing.

People should stop calling this guy a superstar.

High Skill low motor players don't win playoffs. Leafs are stacked with them.

Nylander, Marner, Mathews, Tavares... all a bunch of cupcakes with icing sugar and sprinkles.

I'm glad I only follow 1 Toronto sports team. I feel like I would get a stroke if I followed all these teams.

The Leafs don’t really have a bandwagon fanbase. The money will pour in even if they’re the worst team in the league.

It is kinda funny how they all have a history of choking in the playoffs.

Raptors had the 1 year but we also had our fair share of chokes.

Kawhi was the only one who could save that one Raptors team from choking.

All other recent Toronto teams have been god awful in the playoffs.

They won't do anything until the team stops printing money (which will never happen).

Matthews: 1 goal in his last 9 PO games
Marner: 2 goals in his last 13 PO games
Tavares: 2 goals in his last 13 PO games

That is some next level choking from the guys making the big bucks.

I would focus less on the 33yr old, who at least puts his body on the line to create chances than the two 26 yr old's in their prime who refuse to go anywhere they might get hit.

I don't think I've ever seen a guy completely father a team like Marchand does with the Leafs.

Lebronto was a couple years, Marchand has been fathering the Leafs for over a decade now.

To be fair, everyone has been fathering the Leafs over that period of time. They're hopeless against any opponent. This core is just made up of losers.

But the Raptors team still won some rounds and we didn't even have a top 20 player in the nba. Leafs are supposed to have 3 top 20 players and 1 top 5 player. Their playoff choking is in a league of its own.

None do it better than Marchand though.
