And there it is. The nba needs a rule change. A team that gets intentionally fouled while the defending team is in the penalty should get two options: 2 free throws or an inbounds under the opposing team's bucket.

I've mentioned this a couple times. What a horrible way to end the game. And it totally goes against the spirit of the rule. The team 'penalty' is actually a benefit.

The league has to address this and it's extremely an extremely sinple solution. And it's not some sort of huge change. The ONLY time it even becomes an issue is in the final 20 seconds of the game. The offensive team will always opt for the free-throws in every other scenario.

Just brutal to see a game end that way.

Again: very simple. When the opposing team is in the penalty....for every subsequent non-shooting foul, the offensive team gets two options: two free throws or an inbounds from the defending team's baseline.
