A part of me also does believe this "beef" is plotted. Kendrick has said on numerous occasions that he respects Drake. This is all friendly fire - both guys respect each others talent and craft.

Kendrick is set to drop an album in May, so this is perfecting marketing as well.

I dunno. Kendrick - who is an absolute genius and is showing it in this battle - has been going incredibly hard. Drake should not have taken this up AT ALL. He should have gone the J. Cole route and dipped early. He's got too many vulnerabilities, which Kendrick is teasing out with a scalpel.

Drake seems to have cultivated a reputation of liking them young. I think he shut down a restaurant in New York so he could have dinner with an underaged model. There's a video on Youtube of him pulling a 17 year old up on the stage at one of his concerts and kinda groping her (tbf he prob didn't know she was 17). There's stories of him getting in touch with up and coming actresses to "mentor" them i.e. that girl from Stranger Things.

Also want to add that Kendrick fans have been showing their true colors. They declared him the winner before the "battle" even begun and have been on their knees raving about some of the weakest bars to ever grace the mic.
