This team is so bad, you are drunk. A star could catapult us to 6th to 8th seed and a first round exit.

You couldn't even drop the MVP candidates on this team and expect to make the Finals. Jokic is 0-2 right now vs Twolves. Luka needed multiple playoff Irving performances to get past round 1. Embiid couldn't make it out of round 1 (partially due to injuries).
Shai had an easy road in round 1, but their supporting cast is SO good and also deep. Bucks with Giannis prob crush the Pacers, but Giannis doesn't really plug the holes we have here either.

Drop one of those guys on our team and we maybe win a 1st round series. Making the ECF would be a great accomplishment. None of them put us ahead of Boston in the East, even without KP.

Before the Kawhi trade our roster was stacked. The current roster is lack of depth, in other words: lack of talents. It can’t be saved by a single player.

Doubtful. Embrace a true rebuild.

No, we still need more young talent from the draft and a competent coaching staff

We are lacking depth. If we keep our picks this year and current roster we would still need to make additional moves to surround that star.

If those moves required our moving all future assets for one of those guys the answer is no. Better path is to draft and develop - and tank hard this year given it’s a generational draft.
I believe in Masai.

If we had our team from the beginning of the season we would be unstoppable right now with the new rule changes going back to favoring defense. We'd be the Minnesota Timberwolves east

Probably not? But if you just "added" KD or PG13 or KAT without subtracting anything (so impossible) you would have to think you would have aspirations of at least a HCA team

IQ/RJ/KD/Barnes/Poeltl is a pretty good team with GTJ/Dick/Olynyk/Brown off your bench.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Our roster with Fred, Siakam, OG, Barnes and Poeltl was just missing that one piece, but with this current roster needs a lot more than just one aged star.

That one piece was a prime MJ or Lebron.

The current roster needs a prime MJ and Lebron, plus prime Curry and KAJ. And 5 other hall of famers.

Geezus Christ. We really desperate for a one stop shop to fix the mess Masai and Bobby created by holding onto that guy with the 3 letters, Pascal and ADOBE, huh?

Harry Potter ain't saving this lot.

Lol.

Spitballing, TOR ends up with #1 overall pick and sends it to a franchise in need of a serious rebuild.

What does that look like?

LeBron refuses to sign in LAL and AD gets froggy? AD to TOR for the pick +?

Doesn’t seem likely…so…nothing remotely realistic.
