Jamario Moon will be a restricted free agent this summer.

After spending less than half of a season with the Heat, following a trade from the Raptors, he isn't sure if Miami will re-sign him.

Moon said Tuesday that Heat officials told him "they are really impressed with me," but his status is in question because of both the salary cap and the sports hernia that ended his season.

Where do you think Moon will end up?

He'll stay in the NBA but I'll be surprised if he's ever a starer again. But I mean if Brian Cardinal can get a contract, so can Jamario Moon.

They could sign him for 1 year plus team option. I'm guessing that will be the only offer on the table because of 2010 preparations.

He'll stay in the NBA - he just needs to land under a coach who also doesn't care for scouting reports... Somewhere he is praying Smitch gets a gig.

He could work under Don Nelson. Bad shots, playing out of position and gambling on every play. It's meant to be.

He will stay in the NBA and while I love the guys personality and character I just don't think he is NBA talent.

Should be in the D league or Euro league but will end up on some NBA bench.

Moon is a pretty good value if he signs a short contract, say 2 year for 3 mil.

He should be able to get that in the NBA.

Most likely NBA. Hell, even a return to the Raptors wouldn't surprise me.

I'd happily take Moon back who, imo, is a better value pickup than Delfino,

Moon would be a good 8th-9th man on a solid team that values players with defined roles... think S.A., Dallas, Boston etc.

Moon has been miscast as a starter who plays heavy minutes for too long and now needs a coach that can transform his role to that of a 12-15 minute a spark plug off the bench.

+1

I just hope he's worked on driving it to the rim.

I felt Moons play dropped after Smitch left. He needs the iron fist approach and a no nonsense coach that tolerates little of his shananagans. His unwillingness to be agressive on offense, poor jump shot selection and just overall softness from a very athletically gifted player wasn't offsetted by his OK defense.

Still I wouldn't mind him back.

I dont know, dude, he was terrible before we fired Smitch. He had a few great months last season and then just got consistently worse as time passed.

moon plays well with a player like wade, and most definitely he will be in the NBA. Even at 2 million a year, he's an excellent value for the price

I would only bring Moon back under two conditions, solid defensive production and rebounding. IMO, are bench lacked that this season and Moon can help fill that hole.

Does anyone else think a cheap moon would be a great fit in NO with Chris Paul?

I'd take him on a minimum contract for 2 years and as long as Triano swears to never start him or use him for than 20 minutes per game . Also he has to stop taking 3s , and promise to drive the ball and not just jack up shots from the mid range .
