Beno's contract is so, so bad. But Nocioni for Kapono/Banks is good. Plus we move up 5 spots to 'most likely' secure Evans. Two things:

1) I'm not sure the Kings are THAT desperate to unload salary.

2) We'd be taking on a lot of salary which will limit the moves we make in FA this summer. But Evans is worth it IMO.

Tyreke is so intriguing for this team because, his strengths give us exactly what we need, while his weaknesses will be masked because it seems like his weaknesses are our teams strengths.

Tyreke, in my opinion, would fit perfectly beside Calderon. It would be like having TJ and Jose together on the offensive end. On defense however he is much better than TJ and can guard the better, more explosive player. He will drive the lane from the back court, something we disparately need. If teams need to watch out for him driving the lane, having two sets of eyes on CB and staying close on AB, there will be TONS of room for Marion to move off the ball, and Jose will definitely get tons of open shots.

His weaknesses are his turnover rates, something Jose will offset with his amazing assist/turnover ratio. He cant hit the 3 all that much, but we have a big man who can, a PG who can and a 3 pt specialist on the bench.

He just looks like the perfect compliment, and thats why I don't think he will fall to us. Nothing ever goes right in Toronto.

If Tyreke Evans is available at 9 hell yes you draft him, but chances are that some other team scoops him up before 9 .

you mean Blair right :P . I would laugh too that would be terrible. If he drafts Blair over Evans/DeRozan that would be career suicide. BC is not that stupid.

[OOPS ITS ALREADY POSTED!]

You can find the main realgm link here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=910885

http://www.theknicksblog.com/2009/06/04/draft-notes/

We’ve learned that the Knicks have Holiday and Curry ahead of Evans, because they feel that they are more suited at the point guard position, but the Memphis product will work out for the Knicks as well as the Kings, Wizards and Raptors with Toronto keeping their fingers crossed that he falls to 9. No chance he gets past the Raptors, who have all but guaranteed Evans’ camp.

Raptors guaranteeing that they will pick Evans or Derozan if they are there at 9.

Isn't giving Evans a guarantee at 9 almost like giving Griffin or Rubio a guarantee at 9? Isn't there like a 0% chance this guy slips that far?

Good news again. Now, who gets shafted if both DD and Evans are on board?

They've had him going ridiculously low forever for no apparent reason. Every single other draft site has him going before the Raps pick at 9. He COULD fall to us, but given everything all the writers have said covering this draft, it doesn't look like it.

It takes two to tango. Do we have the assets to move up?

I think the only way is not to give up good assets (clearly we are lacking) but by taking on garbage from a team who is tax conscious.
