Randolph averaged 15.9 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.3 steals per 36 minutes last season. Bosh has never and will never match those numbers in rebounding, blocks or steals. In the second-last game of the season, Randolph (who is 19 years old) had 24 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and a block against San Antonio.
Warriors fans wouldn't trade Randolph for Bosh right now even if their contracts matched, and I don't blame them. The only edge that Bosh
might maintain over Randolph is scoring. And when you consider that Randolph had 15.9 points per 36 and a .462 FG% in his rookie season compared to Bosh's 12.3 points per 36 and .459 FG% in his rookie season, it's quite possible that Randolph could catch him there, as well.
Randolph is an example of what Bosh-supporters don't take into account when they claim that Bosh will become a top 5 player in the league now that Garnett and Duncan are in decline. They don't realize that guys like Randolph, Beasley, Rose and Roy are all already nipping at his heels at a much younger age.
