funny how in the NBA if a guy chased someone down after a hard foul and started a situation 5/6 of this board would be calling him a thug and a cancer but ITT the guy is a hero

He's not a hero. I'm just smirking at the thought of it.

It's just weird that there was an honest to god brawl in an international friendly.

U have no idea what happens in Europe... Nba is nothing. With Stern we don't see brawl.. If u go to junior teams games, they make brawls all the time.. If u go in Greece, u have brawls with attendance included, launching everything on the floor :D In Europe there is much more brawls then in the Nba.

Actually I love brawls. When I play basketball myself I'm always on the verge of exploding.. If u have a certain personality, with the competitiveness of the game.. when u receive some elbowing u can go nuts  I don't judge bad guys like Artest that simply can't control.. as long as they don't make serious damage to people is ok.. but I know is dangerous, so we have to condemn any sort of violence :-?

Well, I think he's been a complete idiot. Even when your opponent takes a cheap shot on you, you shouldn't start swinging at him the way Mancinelli did. If you really feel the need to react physically, at least don't go beyond some pushing. In an official game, what he did would have certainly warranted him a suspension and the brawl could've become much more dangerous.

I think he was simply unconscius.. He didn't even realize what he did.. In the post game interview he was smiling :o Well. unfortunately I think he could be suspended anyway even if it was a friendly :-? If they watch the HL he is gonna be punished.. It was pure Ron Artest.. maybe similar to Carmelo Anthony sucker punch

Are you sure? With the soft teams we've been fielding the past 3 years we've had loads of threads dissecting our players' pussiness during altercations.
