Is Jose expendable?

Postby nuff_said on Wed Nov 04, 2009 10:02 pm

I've been watching Jose, for the most part, since he joined the Raptors and have been pleased with his performance, and team first concept.
The first four games of this season have shown - in comparison from game one to tonight- that JT appears to favour Turk handling the ball more often. If this continues to prove successful could Jose be expendable?
G.O.A.T starting five

PG - John Stockton
SG - Michael Jordan
SF - Larry Bird
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

As much as Jose can be annoying at times, depth at that PG spot is something that is a necessity for this team to succeed.

if he cant hit a shot - yes. joses defence is bad but its minimized by his offence. if he cant do either... well.. that atl draft pick wouldve looked real nice

It's still early, but IMO, yes, depending on whom you get in return.

I'm also OK if he comes off the bench. He'd fare much better against second-stringers on both ends of the floor.

To me, he's a bubble guard in the NBA: not quite good enough to be a starter, but a bit too good as a back-up.

No. If he doesn't work, just make him come off the bench and we know what he can do when he comes of the bench.

We have plenty of other Jose threads for thoughts like this.
