19-21 seems to be achievable (could be better as well?).

well that's what i was comparing this season to...
9 new faces, lots of talent, rough start, tough schedule to start but then relatively easyschedule to finish.
In our 47 win season i predicted that we'd start rolling like crazy in early/mid january (which we did)...
this year i predicted the same for mid/late january.
I also predicted 52 wins on the season...so i could be wrong, loll.

This could happen.
Looking back at the above table, they are 9-1 between 70-80 games span.
If we can run 9-1 the in 50-60 games span and 8-2 in 70-80 games span, then we should be around 52 wins by the end of the season. The 50-60 games span will be the key.

Wow, if we pull off a win tonight we're just 0.5 games back of the Heat and they've got Atlanta next.

A good idea for this thread would be to put a person in charge of updating this everyday. For eg. the original poster on monday, volunteer 1 on tuesday etc.

The 2007 team from this point averaged 6-4, with two extra wins gained somewhere. Can the 2010 Raps do the same?
Let's analyze...
Games 31-40Pistons (w)
Pistons (w)
Charlotte (w)
Boston (l)
Spurs (w)
@Orlando
@Philly
Boston (early Sunday game)
@Indy (btb)
@NYC
Analysis: 7-3. Losses to Magic and Pacers, pull out a tough one vs. Celtics (mostly b/c I'm attending).
Games 41 to 50Dallas
@Cavs
@Bucks(btb)
Bucks
@LAL
Heat
@NYC (btb)
Indy
@Indy
Nets (btb)
Analysis: 5-5. Tough stretch. Losses to Dallas, Cavs, Bucks, Lakers and one of Heat or NYC.
Games 51-60Kings (4 days rest, early Sunday game)
Philly
Memphis (7 days rest)
@Nets
Wizards (btb)
Blazers (4 days rest)
Cavs
@OKC
@ Houston
NYC (4 days rest)
Analysis: A more friendly stretch, every game winnable and mostly at home, with some extra days of rest. Time for a winning streak - maybe 7-3 (losses to Cavs and two of Houston, Miami and Blazers)
tbc...

Games 61-70
Philly (Sunday early game)
@ Lakers
@ Kings (btb)
@ Warriors
@ Blazers (btb)
Hawks
OKC
@ Nets (btb)
@ Wolves
Utah
Analysis: 5-5. Tough west road trip. Losses to LAL, Blazers, Hawks, Warriors and Utah or Minnesota.
Games 71-80
Denver
@ Heat
@ Charlotte (btb)
Clippers
@ Philly
Warriors
@ Cavs
Boston (btb)
@ Hawks
Bulls
Analysis: 6-4. Losses to Miami, Charlotte, Atlanta, Boston. I'm hopeful they beat Boston though b/c I hate that team.
Games 81 and 82
@ Pistons (btb)
NYC
Analysis: I'm a homer, so I'm going with 2-0 b/c the Raps are peaking for the playoffs...
That makes 51 wins, so my prediction skills may be a little off. Or maybe not, which would be a good thing. Even if I'm off by 6 wins, Raps get 45 and probably 5th place. If I'm right, they'll likely be 4th or 5th. Either way, we play Atlanta in the first round, Bosh misses a last-second jumper from the corner in game 7 after flying to Georgia to get his degree and then demands to be signed-and-traded.

Half a game behind Miami... and they play 19 of the next 24 on the road. Awesome!

We're only 5 behind Atlanta too...maybe too early to think about it, but we have a very easy schedule to finish the season while Atlanta's gets reasonably tough. It's conceivable we could sneak into a home court situation

Best scenario for us is if the Hawks somehow suck for the rest of the season and we get to face Miami.
Pipe dream.

Ehhhh, yeah I would like to avoid the Hawks, but I wouldn't be excited about playing Wade and the refs in the playoffs.
