I always thought a UTH/DET trade around Hamilton/Boozer made alot of sense.

D.J. Augustin comes to mind.

Mohammed + Augustin for Banks, Wright and O'Bryant.

Trade Calderon to Boston

In return, get Glen Davis, Eddie House and Tony Allen. Trade doesn't work on Real GM, but works on ESPN Trade Machine.

Raja Bell

Would cost Amir and Wright which would be tough to lose Amir but when Evans returns he could be.

How healthy is Bell? is he due back this season?

Okay. So who are you trading Hedo for in your follow-up trade?

re: trading with the Lakers

It's probably our best bet, although it'll basically be us getting financial relief rather than actual talent. Shannon Brown's not bad, but only turned it on in LA, so it may be a system thing.

My only issue is that the Lakers may not want El Matador in their defensive schemes. I'm not 100 % certain he fits offensively, but I'm 100 % sure he doesn't fit defensively.

Remember, Fisher fit there for so long because he's a competent defender who can shoot the 3. He's willing to pass and is competent, but he's not there for his passing. At all.

I heard March, so he'd be just back for the playoffs and thats a huge roll of the dice and probably not realistic.

There really arent' that many realistic options in the 3 to 7 million range (depending on who you include going out)

the only other one I was thinking was Wright, Amir, Banks for Maggette
GS cuts the Maggette deal in half next year and out of it after that
Raps lose Amir but hopefully gain Evans
Maggette isnt exactly the defensive guy they need but a wing that will drive

Detroit will not trade Rip for Jose. There is no motivation for that trade at all
Rip is the much better player and he is on a better contract.
Jose for Rip is a Raptors fantasy

Richard Hamilton $11,375,000 $12,500,000 $12,500,000 $12,500,000

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Calderon is not a starting caliber player- he should be making an average of 6-7 per year
Rip should be making 10-11 per year

Rip is much closer to value than Jose because he is a much better player

If BC wants to trade Calderon, I think Boris Diaw should be a target.

Maybe something like:

Calderon + Evans for Diaw + Augustin

If the Raptors wanna be contenders, they better trade Jose now before its too late, and before other GMs find out he's not all that.

Jose and (pieces) for either: Rip, KMartin, Iggy (not likely)/good 2guard!!!

Then trade Bargnani and (whatever pieces necessary, perhaps even a future pick) for Joakim Noah!!

If BC can pull that off, we are immediate contenders imo. The following lineup could do some serious damage in the playoffs:

JJack
Rip/KMartin
Turkoglu
Bosh
JNoah

Bench: Derozen (hopefully), Amir Johnson (hopefully), Bellinelli (hopefully)

That lineup right there takes us from so-so to dangerous.
What do you guys think??? Do-able???

I can't see Raps trading Jose and I can't see them getting any high end guys (Martin, Iggy, Rip) without giving up DD

Honestly I think in the end this team may be better if they just ride it out with this unit and they are given time to gel

9mil of the last year is guaranteed irregardless, so it's not really that big of a deal.

The only way you cut him is if he's really fallen off a cliff by then.

Watch the Pistons play and you'll see why they need a PG. Stuckey, Gordon and Bynum have all proven that they cannot run the point effectively for that team.
