Inside Source:Calderon and Johnson for Butler and Crittenton

Post#1 » by raptorgenius7 » Sun Jan 17, 2010 2:03 am

Hey guys, as you all know I get legit inside sources within the raptors organization, been posting here for many years but the only time i do post is when I do get inside source information that I can share with my realgm family (u can track down my previous posts' some of the inside scoop i shared actually did go through). So the latest scoop is that washington offered us butler and crittenton for amir and jose, however BC doesnt want to give up Amir or pick up crittenton in a deal. BC is really high on Amir and says he will do anything it takes to lock him up this summer. BC made a counter offer of Rasho, calderon, and a 2nd rounder for butler and boykins but washington declined, however Bryan and Ernie is still going back and forth with offers. Personnel are really high on this deal and feel raptors can easily make it to the eastern conference finals if this trade does go through. Guys, get ready for a busy forum from now til deadline, I was told that there is a 75% chance BC makes a deal between now and deadline. There are many offers that BC does have on the table that I will try and find out and share with you guys. Take care guys!!

i absolutely don't understand why WAS would want to do a Jose for Butler deal. Fans have killed any thread involving Jose for Butler on the trade board. WAS's best served by trading Butler for expirings and a pick.

no idea if this is nonsense but if true... i like johnson but cmon dude this is caron freakin butler.

i'm sure we can get another undersized hustling big man if we look hard enough plus reggie evans will return.

I could see why WAS would want a PG like Calderon, but why would we need to trade for Butler when we already have Hedo at the SF position?

How can Butler and Turkoglu work together?

Crittenton? Doesn't seem like it fits BC's "no drama" MO, especially with his current problems. And not sure about Butler while Hudo's still here.

But whatever, we'll see.

As much as it doesn't make sense salary wise (jose contract is longer then Butler) and basketball wise (Butler>Jose), its clear the only reason the Wizards are in this deal is there image. Jose is the king of unselfish basketball, his image is crystal clear and he is a team player ...

He'd be insane not to take that offer. Getting rid of Jose's contract and actually improving?

So... we're gonna be okay with playing Jack over 30mpg? If Butler is starting, who comes off the bench? Hedo or Andrea?

If this goes through I will be ecstatic...

Bosh
Bargs
Hedo
Butler
Jack

Finals? I don't know but we'll definitely contend.

That's my main reservation towards this being plausible.

Now if it was pre-empted with a Turk for Kenny Thomas trade....I could see it.

Amir and Hose for Caron (Crittenton's deal expires this year)? Where do we sign?
