Personally, I think Davis is too much duplication of Millsap and Boozer. We allready have 2 6'8" PFs on the roster and I believe that the Jazz will resign Boozer. Should they go another direction the pick makes more sense as Davis would be an excellent backup to Millsap or perhaps even a starter in time.
I would have gone bigger myself. With Okur out for most of next year I would have taken a flier on Whiteside. He has pretty large bust potential, I'll grant that. But, like they always say, you can't coach size. His combination of size, length, and athleticism is would be too much for me to pass on for Davis.
I think the Clippers will likely go for an athletic wing in the draft now that they have Kaman, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan as their big man rotation. They only have 5 guys under contract for next year, 3 of them being big men, and two small guards in Davis and Gordon. A guy like Aminu or Johnson would fit really well with their team.

One thing I just read about Hassan Whiteside is he is a abysmal passer. I don't think that's a good sign for a Jazz post player.

It doesnt matter what Whiteside is is or is not, there is 0 chance he coming to Utah. He has the worse off court problems out of anyone in the draft, totally headcase.

I say just move up if the lottery doesn't go our way, like 9 to 6. It'll be a guud place to get an impact player for the jazz.

Like I said, Whiteside has big bust potential. And the idea that he'd be rejected by Utah on personality grounds has some merit.
But, we did draft Luther Wright and Kirk Snyder. So, we obviously aren't immune to taking bad apples. We had Polynice on the team running around arresting folks. Whaley got into trouble too, no?
I think it'd be premature to dismiss Whiteside at least until you had a chance to have your psychology specialists/sports psychologists interview him.

I will tell you all now. Utah will take Favors and Cousins, but beyond those two we wont take any "project" type players. We might not take a sexy pick, but we need someone that can contribute next season. The realistic big board will have Cole Aldrich, Greg Monroe and Wesley Johnson as the 1, 2, 3. If we are to take a wing it will close the door on Korver coming back and any big likely shuts the door down on Fes coming back or perhaps the Jazz moving Kosta. Utah needs to pick between the two of them.

I think Fesenko will likely be the Jazz's starting center on opening day next year regardless of whom they draft.

Bulls fan here, I really hope you guys get a top 3 pick, preferably 2nd and you pick up Evan Turner. 3rd, Derrick Favors. Cousins I feel is going to be a stud but I just don't want him and his Kendrick Perkins-esque personality on my 2nd favorite team. If you don't win the lottery I'm a big fan of you guys getting Greg Monroe/Wesley Johnson/Cole Aldrich. Utah is my 2nd favorite team (mostly because of Deron Williams - Illinois). Something tells me karma is going to punch the Knicks in the balls one last time with a Utah win in the lottery.
