It’s all been very predictable so far…In Ainge we trust but we’re not even trying to skip steps right now.

Acquiring an All Star in the Mitchell trade already skipped a step. Acquiring a franchise center in the Gobert trade also skipped a step. We were really a playoff team last yr that tanked post trade deadline to get another lottery pick. Way ahead of schedule for the rebuild.

I hope there is a team option somewhere or at least that it's a declining contract, preferably both.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Looks like the Jazz parted ways with Juzang.

Jul 7, 2023 - The Utah Jazz withdrew their Qualifying Offer to make Johnny Juzang an Unrestricted FA.

If the Jazz don't add a point guard prior to the season I wouldn't mind seeing Colbey Ross get a two-way deal. I think we still have one left. Definitely prefer having him on a two way than Juzang.

Didn’t Juzang still play summer league after this?

I think he did. But he doesn't need that type of contract to play for the Jazz in the summer league, most players don't have it either.

My understanding is that he’ll be a two-way.

I think he can be an uncontrolled spaz on the court, so it wouldn't bother me if the Jazz eventually moved on from him.

Wasn't he already on a two-way contract?

I believe he was last year. If he isn't this year that should leave us one open two-way. I prefer using it in a PG based on our current roster. Ross or maybe someone like Sharife Cooper if Cleveland doesn't have him on a two-way yet.

Omer Yurtseven signed a two-year deal with the Jazz on Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Spin: Per Scotto, the deal includes a strong partially guaranteed salary for 2023-24 and is non-guaranteed for 2024-25. Yurtseven started 12 of his 56 appearances as a rookie and averaged 5.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per game, but he struggled with injuries last year and wasn't overly productive in limited action. In Utah, Yurtseven figures to be battle with Kelly Olynyk for backup center minutes behind Walker Kessler.

7 footer with ok range. Likely not cracking the rotation, but good to have bodies for practice and in case of injuries, I suppose.
