Regarding Iverson: Could it really get any worse?
Sure he might hinder the development of Gallo-Douglas-Hill but Ive come to grips that Harrington-Duhon-Hughes do that enough already.
Jazz:
Allen l Wagner
Randle l Olynyk
Porter Jr l Marshall l Tucker
Herro l Okogie l Payton
Fox l Jones

Is this anything but great news for the Jazz?

Mid-draft? So the Knicks are a playoff team with AI?

Indeed they are. AI gives them the scoring punch they need so badly. The team is fine defensively but they need someone who can really throw up some shots and try to put more points on the board.

I don't think the Knicks are lacking in players who "can really throw up some shots..."

Iverson is just the guy they need to remedy the situation.

Are you really that much of a newb?

I mean, if the obvious dripping sarcasm in the tone wasn't enough to begin with, and it still wasn't enough when he said something that was clearly absurd, didn't the fact that he actually changed the color of his font give you pause? I mean, even if you don't know the internet protocol of using green for sarcasm, it should at least make you go "hmmm", no? Now, I recognize this is RealGM and you have people floating around that are so stupid that a statement like this could really happen, but this is Delaney, bro, he loves to play that ish. You've been here long enough, you have no excuse. Pull it together, man. For the children.

A lot of people expected us to be bad, but can you truly say you believed THIS BAD? I really thought that we could be decent, but a 1-9 start changes that quickly.

Yeah, I can truly believe THAT BAD. Did I expect a 1-9 start? No, but I thought 3-7 with a really weak schedule was about right. As you can see, the composition of the roster is horrifically bad, and the overall talent level is very low too. The only thing that kept me from smugly proclaiming 21 wins was the presence of a solid management team and the outside chance of a Gallinari uber breakout.

At this point, it appears that not even good coaching can counter this bad of a roster, and Gallo has started well, but not well enough to make a dent in the suckitude.

I'm really not surprised at all.

I am surprised honestly.

@ Miami
@ Charlotte
vs. New Orleans
vs. Philly
vs. Indy
vs. Cleveland
@ Milwaukee
vs. Utah
vs. Atlanta
vs. Golden State

Thats a 6/4 home vs. road schedule. Even the worst teams in the league should have close to a .500 win percentage at home. Even two of their road games have been against Charlotte and Milwaukee, and they lost them both.

I know Indy has started to look hot lately, and Atlanta and Cleveland are obviously good teams, but losing too Golden State, Utah, and Philly is pretty bad. Losing to one of them is understandable, but all of them is a really big deal. They are 1-5 at home right now and 0-4 on the road. Thats about as bad a schedule as you can have. (Until you look at the Nets)

So I figure we should just make this the college basketball thread also and track the potential top picks as we have time game by game, could be a fun way to watch who the future Jazz man in college.

For example tonight:

Cole Aldrich: 18/11/5/0 70% shooting
Willie Warren: 24/4/1 50% shooting, 25% 3P 4 TO's
Greg Monroe: 11/9/0/2 40% shooting

I wonder what the best final record is for a team that started the first 1/8th of the system with 2 or fewer wins was.

A couple years ago, the Bulls started the season 0-9 and ended up going to the playoffs. Don't kill me... just saying.

I have almost zero doubt that, barring major injury, Evan Turner will be an All-Star level player in the NBA. If Utah has the chance to take him and passes him up, I don't know if I could ever forgive the front office. I am just absolutely in love with his game. I believe that Wall, Turner, and George (if he declares) are going to end up as the 3 all-stars out of this draft. All three have games that will translate very well to the NBA. I see Wall as a Dwyane Wade type talent, Turner as Brandon Roy, and George as a middle-class man's Tracy McGrady.

First setback of the season for our Knicks pick. Just had a come from behind (deficit as big as 17) victory ON THE ROAD over what seemed to be a pretty good Indiana team. Free Candy and Pughes shot lights out and took over down the stretch. Meanwhile, Danny Granger had 30 points at halftime and finished with 33, fouling out as the wheels were coming off with 4 minutes to go. Ugly, ugly win for us. Hopefully we quickly put this one behind us and get back on a losing track.

....on that note, this provides them with momentum headed into the massive showdown with the Nets on the 21st. Dare we say win streak? Hope not.

However, the good news after that is that they are heading into a stretch against Boston, the Lakers and Denver. Should be able to wash the taste of this win right off of our tongues.

Edit:

Upcoming schedule:

Sat, Nov 21 @ New Jersey
Sun, Nov 22 Boston
Tue, Nov 24 @ LA Lakers
Wed, Nov 25 @ Sacramento
Fri, Nov 27 @ Denver
Sun, Nov 29 Orlando

Tue, Dec 1 Phoenix
Wed, Dec 2 @ Orlando
Fri, Dec 4 @ Atlanta
Sun, Dec 6 New Jersey
Mon, Dec 7 Portland

Lol, two games against NJ, but besides that there are 9 winning teams on that list, with 5 of them on the road, including two games versus defending ECC Orlando, a game against WCC Lakers, possible best team in the west Phoenix, possible best team in the east Atlanta....I mean, wow.... Hard to see them being any better than 5-17 or so by December 8th. Wow.

Don't worry, Knicks ALWAYS lose when you expect them to win. So Nets are getting that W

Yeah, I'm a little slow. I realized it one post too late... had half a "i see what you did there" post written but got called away. And apparently I missed the whole green=sarcasm meme.

Apologies to Delaney, but I just figured it was another case of someone on RealGM being a moron.
