Just to clear that up.

I'm not saying he will propel us to the playoffs. However we won't be 14-68 like we were on pace for. I think with his growth and ability to improve the team we could actually sneak up to around 28-32 wins IF Gallo is involved like he is tonight.

Again this could be one game in which we are playing hard for D'Antoni because it's the Suns, or it could be the major involvement of Gallo.

Well, at least the Knicks beat one of our rivals for a playoff spot....... Shows just what a mirage the Suns' record really is.......

Just shows that on any given night any one team can beat another...

No, there's no way the Knicks would have blown out the Lakers, the Celtics or the Magic, just wouldn't have happened......

I've watched a few Knicks' games this season and while I don't think Gallo will be such a difference maker, I agree with you that the Knicks might approach 30 wins. They've improved since the season started. I really hope they end up with a bottom 3 record, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least 5 or 6 teams finished with a worse record than theirs.

Ouch. Can't afford too many more of these if we want a top 5 pick. I am a little paranoid, so I'm always jumping at any sign to worry, but I'm going to try to tell myself this was "just one of those nights".

NY is bottom-3 team no metter how you look at it. they are better then W's and N's but still not good as others. That's just the way it is. PHI should win some more games with AI in a lineup and DET should be back on a track with healthy Rip, Prince and Gordon.

Well, I had a feeling that could the Knicks could take apart the Suns offense since they run D'Antoni's plays.

D'Antoni doesn't really have plays.

Also, I think the Nets and Wolves have better long term prospects than the Knicks. Devin Harris has missed the early part of the year with an injury and the Wolves have Al Jefferson getting back to speed and Kevin Love getting healthy soon. The Knicks have been a picture of health, with only Nate Robinson missing any significant time, and have won two games they had no business winning in Phoenix and Indiana.

Still. The demons in my mind are acting up.

Yea I really think the Nets are going to pick up their play. Minnesota will definitely be much better when they get Love back, plus Al Jefferson is still playing pretty bad. One of them, if not both of them will be ahead of the knicks by the time the season is over.

I will quote you on that by the end of the season. But I can't deny you from wishing...

Knicks are back on track. Hopefully that letdown vs. Phoenix last night was just a bump in the road.

The really good news is that a lot of teams that looked like they could be worse than the Knicks, like the Kings, the Sixers and the Bucks, are playing better than expected.

Kings and Bucks, yes. Sixers, no. They were a playoff team a year ago and only lost Andre Miller, while still having a ton of young guys that should have propelled them to some improvement. Not only have they not improved, they've been terrible. They only have 1 more win than the Knicks. I'm shocked at how bad they've been. Losing Speights after he had a torrid start certainly didn't help.

I feel the same way as Ming. One of these two teams is going to pick it up. The core of Harris/Lee/Lopez is young, but as it grows through out the season my guess is they start putting it together.

Then you have the Wolves who are just trying to learn a new system with out Kevin Love and a rookie PG. Eventually when Jefferson is healthy and Love comes back, those two plus Sessions and Flynn should be able to have a decent second half of the season.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if one of them surpasses the Knicks this year.

Athink both teams could jump them. Will they? Time will tell, but I'll take the Nets roster over the Knicks going forward. The Knicks have the worst roster in the league and without their location they would have the bleakest future.

As long as the Knicks have a bottom 3 record, I'm happy. We have a good chance of landing a top 3 pick and if everything goes wrong and we get the 6th pick, we still can land a pretty good player.

Has anyone checked out this Wesley Johnson kid? He has put up some beastly numbers so far but I have never heard anything about him.

Yeah, he started at Iowa, iirc, and had to transfer. He is 22 years old, making him the oldest serious top 10 prospect in the NCAA.

Had that great game in the 'Cuse win over UNC, and looks like a lights out shooter and a solid rebounder. I want to see if he has the handles and the first step and/or craftiness to be a good creator off the bounce, because if he does he would be a great option for us in the event that things fall apart and we end up in the 6-8 range. Good looking player.

Rumors of TT going to NY for Harrington...thoughts?

I don't know how much this would affect NY; they would lose Al's big time scoring but thats about it. TT would probably be a nice fit alongside Gallo and Lee with his defense and hustle. Al would help Chicago since they are struggling to score without B-Gordo but he has never brought much success.

I'll believe it when it's done. NY has tons of rumors that never happen.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."
