it's hard to think that the pelicans will have enough firepower to hang. this would be a colossal upset if the thunder lose this series or even if it goes to 6 or 7 games in my opinion.

Shai only average 25 pts against the Pels with meh FG%. Need to see if he will be able to go to the free throw line as much as in the regular season as well.

It's cliché but it's gonna come down to our 3pt%. If we can shoot well enough from deep, it will be a quick series. If not, can easily go to 6 games.

it shouldn't go to six games. the pelicans can't score without zion. we have a top 5 defense. if it goes to six games that's a major disappointment.

It should be a 4-5 game series. Even with Zion NOLA was the easy matchup. The Thunder knocked NOLA out of the play-in games last year and should destroy them in a series. If the Thunder have a hard time with NOLA or lose the series there are serious issues with the team and/or coaching that will need to be addressed in the off-season.

They are one of those teams with enough defence to throw at SGA though.

So if rest of team is not stepping up there’s still a chance it can go to 6. But yes a disappoinment

With Zion it was still the easy matchup only cause the west is that competitive this season.

Either way the team have some serious issues but it’s unlikely to be exploited this round.

We need an upgrade at the big spot and a bench threat this offseason.

yeah we have one of the weaker bench from the playoff teams...some might be worse because they have money issues with huge star salaries (Suns for example) but we can afford to add these guys next offseason regardless of how Joe/Wiggins/JWill perform this postseason.

Just to beat the dead horse a bit more, these issues were known long ago. They could have easily been addressed, by a competent GM, at the trade deadline. It was painful watching the Raptors do what OKC should have done with Olynyk. You can make an argument for P.J. Washington, Gafford and others. What you can not do is claim that Hayward made the roster better. It did set up Presti to trade away some cap space for a 2nd round pick this off-season. That is going to be so exciting.

I still don't get why any team didn't sign PJ Washington last offseason...he was super cheap. NBA GMs were super low on him for some reason.

Olynyk was cheap too but more of a short term solution rather than PJ who would have been a great fit and is likely going to hurt us in the second round. I like Gafford but I don't think we can afford a big that can't shoot.

No Zion should make for an easy series win.

Playoff day at home! Feels like it has been more than 4 years since the last time I watched the Thunder in the playoffs. I guess this is the first time that I like this team as much as I did in 2016/2017 (and maybe even more). We might suck and not make a deep run but this team has a bright future, enjoy the ride!

Gafford has been destroyed by Ivica Zubac.. not Jokic, AD or Embiid.. Ivica Zubac

That’s all

That was too close for comfort.

The team will learn from it for sure but giddey remains a luxury we can’t afford.

If we had Trey Murphy in that spot …

CJ makes that shot every other day, except today...thankfully!

1 up 3 to go.

Why are we getting so much hate?? That's madness.

Next game, they need to move the ball faster. Shai can't be only one solution for points.

Lack of ball movement was the most surprising aspect of our game yesterday...missing that extra pass.

SGA saved us once again. Dort's defense on Ingram was impressive.

Might be an overreaction but Giddey is gone. I had some doubts about it but the fact that u can't really play him in game 1 of the playoffs...

We should see how his minutes adjust over this series .

I don't think it's an overreaction. We've seen this all year long. I hope any and every thunder player succeeds but the inconsistent proving ground for Josh compared to Aaron Wiggins or any other player annnoys me greatly.
