LAL is handing this game over on a platter and nobody can capitalize.

Kevin Durant is 4-14 from the field with zero FTA in the second half + OT.

FU Durant, you cost us the game plain and simple.

Bricking shot after shot and not even looking for teammates. Playing bad defense etc.........

I guess you want Thabo Sefolosha taking the potential game tying three pointer in overtime. Jeff Green's been unconcious from downtown to start the year, I don't get it.

What a demoralizing way to lose, you can't lose home games like this. I understand Russell Westbrook's growing pains and the fact that maybe he's learning as he goes but Kevin Durant was awful after the first half. What a stinker from him two games in a row.

Great game even if it was a loss.

Someone please tell me Brooks drew up a better play at the end of the 4th that was more than just pass it to Durant set a screen and have him let a three go from about 5 feet behind the NBA arch.

The end of the 4th was so F'n painful. I don't know if the play broke down or if that was all that was drawn up but either way it was freakin horrible.

Two games in a row they are playing very good teams who are missing bigmen and they can't capitalize. I understand that both those team are probably going to be in the Western Conf Finals but they are without their starting PF for Christ sakes.

Sure the brightside is they didn't get blown out by 35 like they were last year at this point but is a win over a good team too much to ask?

I'm not too worried about Durant. He'll shoot his way out of this slump, but it would be nice to see him "make his teammates better" when his shot is clanging off the rim.

LA really did try to give the game to OKC, Lamar Odom even threw up an airball free throw with plenty of time to come down and tie it.

I still think 35 wins is realistic. I would much rather see them make the playoffs though.

I know Thabo missed that open look at the end of OT but damn did he do a number on Kobe. Kobe still got his but Thabo was making him work. Also the charge that Harden drew on Kobe was sweet.

wiff I don't like the one on one KD crap either to end the game, but the way RW was playing he'd probably have turned the ball over himself trying to set something up. Jeff Green's been shooting the ball great I would have liked to see him get a shot.

You know Westbrook and Durant need to stop cooking up so many of these....

These two are a couple of pastry chef's.
They combined for a baker's dozen tonight. Durant had 7, and Westbrook had 6 turnovers.

Against Portland Westbrook had 9.

I know these guys have the balls in their hands a lot but they HAVE to get a grip on it if they want some success this season.

Well... it's hard not to be encouraged by such a close game with a very good team. But then breaking it down and watching the details tonight, there's a lot of bad things that jump out... turnovers, bad shot selection, lack of ball movement, multiple-minute dry spells, etc.

It was a great game to watch, and I think anybody objectively evaluating our schedule at this point would have to say that 2-2 was the upside of the expectations 4 games into the season. I'll take 2-2 with a somewhat close loss in a poorly played game against POR and then an OT loss to LAL in a not-so-great game by Westbrook/Durant.

Some people will be happy with this loss, but OKC should have closed this out, they were given every opportunity. Next day off nothing but split roster scrimmages mimicking 2:00 and under situations... do 50 of them!

What I really found frustrating though, aside from Kevin's shooting, was the amount of over dribbling Westbrook is doing, when you combine that with 4 other guys not moving around a whole lot without the ball there is no ball movement, no cutting to the basket, no open looks. Just a lot of jump shooting and one pass then done offense that really makes a lot of the game easy for the Lakers defense, also all that dribbling gives tons of opportunity for turnovers and Laker traps.

The Thunder hustled their way into a win then gave it right back. Hopefully they learn from this as the atmosphere was great it was a taste of what a playoff game might feel like down the stretch but anyone who says "great effort but that's why they're the champs" wasn't watching the same game as me.
