He's never been that type of player. Like, ever. It's one of my biggest criticisms, so I don't disagree that it's a weakness. But neither do I think it's realistic to expect a player to change his fundamental playing style. It's not like flipping a switch.

I hear you man but it starts at the 1 spot and becomes contagious.

That's the thing -- he's not a 1. He's basically a shooting guard by nature. Always has been, always will be. He only plays at the point because he's short. You might as well be criticizing Durant.

Gave it to KD last game and he's playing the 1 regardless of what he is naturally. I'm not saying he's a bad player but he has to set the tone offensively get others involved.

On every pick and roll a Serbian player gets deep into the paint, we have to rotate, rotate poorly and they score. It's embarrassing.

Jokic is by far Serbia's best player and he comes off the bench and doesn't get the offense run through him.

Disappointing from Serbia, clearly not serious about the Olympics.

That's a significant problem though. Cousins has 4 assists. Irving and Lowry together have 1. When the U.S. gets stagnant there is no obvious leader to get them back into the groove.

Irving is a great scorer, but you can see him not even looking for the roller on screen roll, and just spotting up half the rest of the time. Think in the FIBA's he and Curry started next to each other? Might have been why that worked.

That's not what I mean. You might as well be criticizing him for not getting his teammates either, because he and Kyrie essentially are the same player -- shoot first. Just the way it is.

Draymond Green should be PG. He's the only one with enough passing and iq. Btw where tf is Klay??

USA is going to go on a run now that Jokic is on the bench! As an American Denver Nuggets Fan I am so conflicted!

KD isn't the primary ball handler though. Kyrie cannot bring the ball up and the floor and try to score 4 out of 5 possessions, its going to kill the team and the flow of the game. All I'm saying is more ball movement and it'll start with Kyrie initiating it.

We're just getting bailed out by Serbia being stupid enough to reach every time. Granted they've gotten a fair share of turnovers out of us, but it doesn't seem to be worth it anymore.

I don't necessarily disagree. I'm just saying, it's not really fair to blame a player for not doing something he's never done. More an issue of team selection, and even then I'm struggling to think of a player who could have been selected to serve as a facilitator without issues in other areas (D, shooting, etc.). Even with our wealth of talent, Chris Pauls and LeBrons don't grow on trees.

End of the quarter, we don't know what to run. This "team" in a nutshell.

Teodosic is their best player and it's not even close.

Roster of majority ringless players: KD, Melo, Demar, Lowry, PG13, Cousins, DJ, Butler

Rings: Klay, Draymond, Iriving, HB

Besides, with all this complaining about offense, we're probably having bigger issues on the defensive end. Serbia shooting 50 pct -- way too high.
