The audacity from an NBA fan who watch the NBA refs at work

These refs at least will call travel no matter what the name. I have not seen anything bad other than they want to call it tight.

A lot of techs because US players are bitchy and constantly have to make snide remarks or shake their head. Lack of professionalism.

What a terrible game by Spain, and they're still in it. Second half will be a bloodbath, after the refs compensate for all the nonsense calls

Melo looks old, all that ability to absorb contact is useless if he can't get off the floor.

At least Klay is buying real estate in the corner and the team finished with a great defensive sequence.

He would fit the role perfectly. Seems Joey was his role model while growing up.

Klay IMO has been top 3 player for team USA this summer. I'm not even a big fan of his and yet I still think USA wouldn't have made it this far without him.

His and Curry's games fit perfectly for this Olympics style basketball.

Every foul on Cousins was legit

but his emotional a** wants to complain about every call

This is why NBA fans THINK reffing on game to game basis is bad, because they watch players cry and cry over and over again

Such a shame the refs are ruining the match. Reminds me of WC soccer matches, where refs also never have a notion of whats going on.

They will win if they can keep the defensive level up. I think Spain will come out firing in the second half.

The game is close. I dont think Spain will play nervous or scared in the second half.

They're not calling violations. They're calling a bunch of weak touch fouls, on both ends. I make a point of not complaining about officials -- see sig -- but they've been bad.

Klay Thompson again keeping USA alive, almost by himself. Many other USA players looking pretty awful.

Of course not. This is a veteran team. They've done a great job controlling tempo and eliminating our easy buckets. If they had more shooting we'd probably be losing. We're going to have to beat them. They won't give it away.

Maybe now people will tone down the "NBA refs are the worst ever" mantra now? Hahahaha this is hilariously bad. I can't believe this... at this rate, the most talked about names tomorrow won't be players, but the officiating trio.

If Kyrie cant get hot on offense he's absolutely useless. He has no playmaking abilites at all, doesnt involve anyone, plays no d..Damn him,Melo and Cousins are the weak links of this team.

Melo and Irving combined 2 for 9 in 25 combined minutes. Not even close to good enough. Only 6 mins for George. Guess cause KD is in foul trouble K wants more offense on the court, but that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

You are just talking out of your backside

The fouls have been called good

You are just saying this because you see over emotional players responding to technicals.

Most likely the technicals should not have been called , but the fouls looked good to me.

Which is why I've never been a huge fan. He had an awesome playoffs, especially in The Finals. But he's always been basically Kobe lite - a ball dominant streak shooter.

What are you talking about?

FIBA refs call by the book, that is, slap on arms, two hands in back etc. On the other hand they allow contact through finishing, they allow close shading defense and hand checking.

NBA reffing is extremely arbitrary and worst of all is the refs feel the need to call a foul on all contact, where FIBA allows some contact without calling a foul either way.
