Because he can shoot, pass, defend and rebound and he did it all very good today. I don't see the issue, Draymond ain't better than Melo and doesn't occupy half the attention on the court.

Draymond Green came off the bench and had three points, four rebounds and three assists, and his plus-minus of plus-27 was second on the team to Durant’s plus-32.

You are right in that Draymond is not better, but it isn't about who is better. It's about balance, and having someone that will move that ball and make plays for others. We are just nitpicking anyway, since we could still win every game if we just gave Melo the ball every time down. Melo is the captain and he's not giving up his starting spot.
On another note, I hate how the media is crazy about our defense. We played China a bunch of times. Every team has looked great against China. I'm not coming to any conclusions until games 3, 4 and 5.

Just box score checking, but it seems Teodosic had a terrible game.

He wasn't terrible. He played with 30% and just tried to make passes for others. I think he had like 2 shoots that were not last second ones

He's going to have a few rough games against Mills/Delly, TP, and then Kyrie/Klay/etc

This Olympic board is a fail. No one seem to visit this board, one game already finished and we yet to have a day 2 thread . Why couldnt we just have an Olympic thread on general board?

Saric had a huge block on Pau who was about to tie it at the end of regulation.

Saric's play was just the culmination of a great comeback by Croatia.

Hey guys - I apologize for not getting the Day 2 thread started. The place where I stayed over the weekend had a wifi outage, and my iPhone went over the side of a boat into the lake. I'll get the Day 3 & 4 threads up tonight just in case!

I agree with the other posters that we ought to hae the Olympic thread in the "General" section.

This has been discussed and answered elsewhere, thank you!

BdeRegt wrote:Is it just me or is this game making me question Gobert a bit? Obviously because of age, Gobert the better asset but Bogut looks like the much better player. I am wondering if he will show more offense with the Mavs getting more touches outside the Warriors. As a Warriors fan, I personally hadn't seen Bogut move like this in awhile and wonder if it was by design a bit.

This is exactly what i was thinking when i saw the game.

His bbiq seems kind of low. He looked like a rookie vs bogut and baynes.

I dont know if he is ever going to become something more than a great rebounder / rim protector (something that is still really valuable to any team). If only he could improve a bit offensively he could become a fringe all Star.

His "struggles" are not that surprising to me though, french players usually have trouble reaching expectations.

He also did it making a really long weakside rotation from the corner shooter (Mirotic?). I mean, part of that is because Pau is slow as a a snail, but it was a tremendous rotation nonetheless.
