That, I do.
Depending on the conditions, I'm most likely going to bet an exacta of Big Brown / Adriano, unless it's a sloppy track tomorrow. If it is, knock out Big Brown, and I'm running with Nakatani and Colonel John.
Edit: Also, I'll be adding Court Vision into my tri. With blinkers on, it can only help him after watching him run his past few races.
If the track is perfect...
Win - #20 Big Brown
Exacta - #20 Big Brown + #15 Adriano
Triacta - #20 Big Brown, with #15 Adriano and #4 Court Vision
Superfecta
1 - #4 Court Vision
2 - #6 Z Fortune
3 - #19 Gayego
4 - #10 Colonel John (and another with the same top 3, but with #1 Cool Coal Man as 4th)
If the track is sloppy...
Win - #10 Colonel John
Exacta - #10 Colonel John boxed with #15 Adriano
Triactor - #10 Colonel John, with #1 Cool Coal Man, and #6 Z Fortune
Superfecta
1 - #10 Colonel John
2 - #14 Monba
3 - #5 Eight Belles
4 - #19 Gayego

#5 Eight Belles
I hate it when horses have to be put down and I do not understand the people who make jokes about it.
Big Brown won by the way and he looks like he has a good chance at winning the triple crown.

It was sad seeing Eight Belles go down, brutal sport. Big Brown is the real, the 4th fav. in the last 20 years to win the race.

Behindathebar scratched today.
Big Brown is going to be nearly impossible to beat.

Post Horse ML Odds
1 Macho Again 20-1
2 Tres Borrachos 30-1
3 Icabad Crane 30-1
4 Yankee Bravo 15-1
5 SCRATCHED - Behindathebar 10-1
6 Racecar Rhapsody 30-1
7 Big Brown 1-2
8 Kentucky Bear 15-1
9 Stevil 30-1
10 Riley Tucker 30-1
11 Giant Moon 30-1
12 Gayego 8-1
13 Hey Byrn 20-1
These odds are horrible on Big Brown, but are well deserved. He should win this race, without a problem. The only problem is, 2 weeks of rest is something this horse isn't used to running on. If it was 3 weeks rest, this horse would be going off at 1-9 possibly (bet $10 to win $1!).
So, the key to winning money this race is going to be the exotics.
One bet, to win:
#12 Gayego -- as much as I think Big Brown will run away with this, this is the only horse in this race that has a legit chance to beat BB, IMO.
Exactas to bet:
- #7 with #12 Gayego (had him to finish 2nd in the Derby), and toss in #10 Riley Tucker as well in a box.
- The long shot exacta -> #10 Riley Tucker with #11 Giant Moon. Nothing more than $5. Could pay huge. Giant Moon could make a run, or could finish last. We'll see.
For my tri, I'll be using the same horses basically..
Wheeled Tri: #7 to win, with #12, #10, #8.
Another, with Gayego winning: #12 with #7, #1, #10.
Let'see how it goes today. These two horses are well above the rest of the competition, in my opinion, and it should show today. If one of them wins, money should be coming in.

The only competition he might face in The Belmont Stakes is from Casino Drive who's won both his races easily. Also Kent Desormeaux, big browns jockey, rode Casino Drive in the Peter Pan Stakes. So I think the familiarity he has with both horses will be an advantage in Big Browns favor.

Might want to hold onto that $400
Big Brown has a crack in his front left hoof.

Yikes, that sucks for Big Brown but I still think he's strong enough to take the Triple Crown. Had faith in the horse even before the Kentucky Derby.
