Closing Ceremonies

Post#1 » by kyphi » Mon Aug 25, 2008 11:46 am

Those Chinese gave more encores than a Bruce Springsteen concert. Their portion was fascinating. I want one of those 'bicycles'. However, the London portion was, for the most part, bizarre. Singing "A Whole Lotta Love" in front of thousands of Chinese? I was waiting for the lines "I want to be your backdoor man" and "keep it coolie, baby" (coolie, get it?)

I didn't get that either. It was bad enough Leona Lewis was "singing" it (how much more would the Chinese have to spend to get Robert Plant?), but how many people in China actually know who Zepp are?

I'm pretty sure it was a Chinese woman volunteer that caught the ball.

Also, London's logo for their olympics is not so great.
