it looks like we're gonna be done tomorrow. Can we start the draft earlier than Monday? I'm itching...

So has everyone voted on the no-trades during the draft rule? This draft is going be a lot less interesting/fun than it usually is if we really are going to ban trading. It's not like trading slows us down, and using Fantrax last year actually sped up our draft time. Plus, it's not like we're in that much of a hurry to finish. We're still a month away from preseason.

Curtis Lemansky wrote:Whilst we get picking draft slots runnings, please vote on these two issues:

1) Swap one G and one F to 2 utility spots in the starting line ups (Yes / No) (new poll so please vote on this even if you have stated your stance before)
2) Implement FAAB Continuous Waiver system with same day adds (Yes / No) (new poll so please vote on this even if you have stated your stance before)

Please post your votes like this:(and here is my actual vote)

1) Yes
2) Yes

Are these passing?

1) Swap one G and one F to 2 utility spots in the starting line ups (Yes / No) (new poll so please vote on this even if you have stated your stance before) 7 yes / 3 no
2) Implement FAAB Continuous Waiver system with same day adds (Yes / No) 7 yes / 3 no -

Both changes pass and will be implemented this season.

Draft accordingly.

I'm fine with these passing (since I voted in favor of both), but in the future, we probably need to implement a rule that if we are going to change anything, more than half of the league has to vote. We only had 10 votes out of 20. I would recommend that at least 2/3 of the league needs to vote for anything to change.

If people dont vote, thats their choice tbh. We had the votes up for 4 days during the busiest time of the season where everybody got online at least once to pick their draft position

Yes, I get that...but it's fairly standard that in any voting situation, you should have at least a certain percentage of the participants voting. Only half isn't enough, in my opinion.

I counted 11 votes
7 in favor of Util positions, 4 against util positions
7 in favor of FAAB, 4 against FAAB

so I guess more than 50% of people voted after all. 1 vote is by Tkunit, before Gokce started the official poll.

I agree with the need of more than half the league of voting for it. Because then where do you draw the line? If only 1 person votes for a poll, will that rule automatically get implemented?

cy, we've been throught this haven't we
didn't gokce sent you an invite for Fantrax? the draft started, first 2 picks already made. This should lead you to the draft page: https://www.fantrax.com/newui/fantasy/liveOnlineDraft.go?leagueId=tx1rd6zujl476o8e

and no. no picks are made on the boards, it's all on Fantrax. It goes automatically. It counts down 8 hours automatically. The players that are picked are off the board. So it saves us a lot of trouble. Also when we allowed trades, the trades were done automatically as well. It's so much better than drafting on the boards.

That was a record draft time. Using Fantrax and no trading helped. We got done before training camp. Anyone going to do any write ups?

I have a question for Skai. Do you think passing up the number 1 pick for the number 7 pick worked for you now that the draft is over?

Yes, I was very pleased with the players available to me at my picks throughout the draft. Felt like I was able to put together a solid team.

I had Jokic as the likely #7 pick, and that's where I was able to take him. I think he's got as good a chance as anybody in the top 7 to be the #1 player this year.
