celtics deal was fair

al jefferson will be a beast, and gomes, green are very good players

Al Jefferson is already a beast, dude averages 21 and 12 and drops 30+ like it's nothing.

Look on the bright side guys. Maybe Crittenton can be a Wade type of player, and you might be able to pick up some good players with those picks.

With a guy cannot help you, you got back 2 first rounders, a above average rookie and a expiring contract.

You future is bright.

Crittenton has done nothing to warrant an "above average rookie" tag. Not only that but they're getting two late LATE firsts because they're making the Lakers title contenders.
as for this deal:

Hiesley and Wallace:

1. Cut Salary
2. Got Picks...but not the best picks
3. Traded an unhappy player
4. Opened playing time to see if Warrick will make the cut.
5. Opened PT at the PF spot for Darko.

6. Just became the most hated people in Memphis.
The absolute truth.

I can't believe you traded Gasol for that garbage, are you trying to get LA another title?

so it's been obvious over the past couple of years that the Grizz aren't going to win with Gasol so this trade makes us bad for the rest of this year but it allows Rudy to get more touches and means we're going to have a high draft pick this season AND be abl to get one of those luscious free agents, I like it.

I remember a Grizz fan or two telling me it would take nothing less that Chris Bosh to acquire Gasol when I inquired a month or so go... what to do but laugh in retrospect :D

Which FA is going to come to Memphis? As a Kings fan, I know what it's like to be one of the worst teams in the NBA (see 80's to 1998). We had PLENTY of cap room and had TONS of draft picks...but nothing went out way until we convinced an unhappy PF to come to our team.

All time low for a Grizzlies fan.

I can't bring myself to watch another game. At least we got the third overall pick when we traded Shareef....................................

Clearing cap space and getting first round picks is all well and good but damn....seems like you could have gotten much better. Crittneton was a mid round pick and those firsts are going to be very late in the draft. Not much better than 2nd round picks really. Add that to the fact that Crittenton is supposed to be a PG where you are already loaded and you have to figure another trade is coming.

Wow what a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) deal, what was your GM THINKING.

So for the next 5 years we'll see a Celtics-Lakers final.

I'll be back in 5 years.

I dont see this trade as so retarted..you guys probably could have gotten better from the Bulls though. Honestly you guys werent going anywhere with Pau...not make the playoffs or win a championship or nothin. You guys can restart with Conley, Gay and the two 08 draft picks you guys have.

Is the idea of trading Gasol is to reunite two draft busts in Darko and Kawme?

IMO, if West is still the Grizz GM, I doubt the trade Gasol for that kind of package no matter how attached he is with the Lakers. I
