I can separate my personal distaste for him from him as a player. Not sure about his fit with Zo though.

If he worked awesome with deandre jordan he works awesome with mourning

Those aren’t really the same type of offensive player though. Not all centers who don’t shoot threes are the same.

both pretty reliant on the pick and roll/roll man/rim runner.

Mounring had more of an offensive game though with a bit of post up and some face up. His best efficiency came from the roll though. albeit not at the level of DJ.

Another way to look at it is Mourning played great beside a player of similar ilk to Griffin when he played in Charlotte. That worked out pretty dang good too.

I dont think there is any issue with Griffin and Mourning paired up.

I never got the impression Zo was a pick and roll rim runner type.

Did he though? The Clips were supremely talented, yet they didn't even make the WCF. If they had a 3+D Center instead of DeAndre, I bet they would have been a far more cohesive team.

In 2015 they had a better offense than the Warriors.

To me that's mostly that CP3 was a maestro, they had shooters at the wing, and both Blake and DAJ had great synergy with CP3 in the pick and roll.

The way I see it, Blake and DeAndre were canceling each other out. Opposing D could drop back to protect the rim, meaning they were up against 2 defenders in the paint. If DeAndre's defender were forced to close out on a 3pt shooter, Blake would have had free rein to dominate the paint as a roll man. Prime Blake was one of the most dynamic finishers in NBA history. CP3 would have had the option to run either PnR with Blake or PnP with the stretch Center. The Clips offense would have been far more versatile and unpredictable.

The Tony Parker whip play should be more deadly with Shaq than Duncan. Better bench than Spurs too!

Hoped for Allen. Should've taken him last round

That could've been worse, the only issue is 2 big is a bit of an awkward defensive matchup in this pool

LAst couple of builds I was able to have a nice amount of FGA for the bench. So much easier to make something happen when I dont have 13 FGA to work with lol.

I like my bench a lot.

Marc Gasol (final year but still a good defender and makes 3s)
Boris Diaw (underrated player, imo, did everything that was needed for the Spurs)
Crawford (6th man who had quite a few big games)
