If it's still like this by tomorrow we might as well go forward with what we have.

Seems like we are stuck at 9. Oh well. For transparency purposes, please someone run the lotto for me. I'll then create the draft thread.

I'll run 1-9. I haven't looked at page 1 either. Just assign numbers in the order you have people signed up.

Re: Four-man core vol. 2: Discussion Thread
I thought lilroddyb had the best 1st round pick in the Put them over the top draft in Jamal Murray. Murray isn't the best #1/#2 option but he comes at the cheap cost of not taking up an All-NBA/All-Star slot for the Wild Cards, and that value can't be overstated.
He allows for flexibility in that he can go with a core with a split of offensive-minded/defensive-minded All-NBA talent and be the #2 option. For example, he was a perfect fit with both the LeBron/AD and Giannis/Jrue/Middleton cores.
I still have questions about his offense in a higher-usage role but as long as he is working off another players gravity [See Jokic] then he is a perfectly suitable #2 in this game.

When is the clock starting? I'm not too available right now, and need to study the pool

Take your time. We're not in a hurry. The clock starts when the first round is complete.

Re: Four-man core vol. 2: Discussion Thread
There was this funny push/pull with taking the Celtics core in that you can add the Peak SG who played with the core to the core but not Pierce [since he is over-costed in the early 2000's].
I considered the Celtics but I didn't want to play Posey 30 minutes, though he is definitely good enough to play 30 minutes.

The 30-minute rule did make me hesitate a bit, but I had my heart set on the Laker core before the game started.

I wonder if one of us late drafters will just take the core Colbinii won with (or just with a different star SG) and hope it works again

To be honest I have no idea what to do at this spot. The pool of both cores and exemption players looks so deep relative to the number of drafters that I didn't feel like committing to anything. So I didn't.
Gotta be me.

Fade taking Danny Green and kcp off the board right out the gate was a little devious
