Draft Rules:

1. All NBA seasons from 1999-00 up to and including 2023-24 are eligible, subject to the restriction outlined below.

2. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players in 8 rounds. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.

3. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 88.0 FGA with a minimum of 3.0 FGA per player corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player. NOTE: You may pick a player whose actual FGA number was lower than 3.0, but you still be charged 3.0 for that player.

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected.

5. In each round you select a player who season MUST NOT be one in which he has played for any of the past 10 championship winning teams. This means no player seasons are allowable from the Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, LA Lakers, Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavs, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks or the Boston Celtics.

Players that have played for any of the above teams are elegible as long as the season chosen was for a team other than the teams listed above.

6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBA.

7. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, or if the player you have chosen is ineligible, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.

8. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.

9. Draft order will be completely randomized.

10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet. Please note that the clock starts whenever the previous drafter has either made their pick or their two-hour window has expired, even if the next person is not quoted.

11. The winner of the draft will be determined by rankings, playoffs, or hybrid (depending on numbers).

Team Roster Page Rules:

You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:

. Players
. Rotations
. Draft selections
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is under the required 88.0 FGA

-All of the above must be completed before playoffs/rankings begin.

Is the pool too top heavy? It favors some guys who switched teams like Durant, Kawhi and KG

There’s also MJ, Shaq, Nash, CP3, and probably others.

No MJ

Its 2000s onwards.

Only Phoenix shaq

But Nash, CP3, Durant, Kawhi, McGrady, Joel, Davis, George, Harden, SGA

I think that leaves enough for everyone to build around a top end guy.

Ah okay didn’t see the time limit.

I’ll play anyway. These games aren’t always balanced and I think that’s OKAY. I think there is enough high end talent to accommodate 8-10 players.

Done. :)

I believe the Pistons are the only champions available in this game- as in you can actually select players who won a championship with the franchise you’ve chosen them for.

No Bulls or Rockets lasted to the 2000s with that team, at least not in any form you’d want to draft.

Count me in.

Haven't put down a list, but if there isn't enough top-end talent for everybody, why do we start at 1999/2000? I mean, T-Mac is usually a late 2nd / early 3rd rounder (?) due to his high FGA cost. AD and George are excellent 2nd options. They aren't crafty enough scorers to build around them. Don't get me started on Dwight. Useful player for sure. I highly doubt you can win with him being your best player.

There’s also Dame. And Brandon Roy (another first option rarely picked).

I think it boils down to not wanting MJ in the pool.

As is this is not a game I want a low pick in.

As long as it's the usual 10, I'd be happy with a lower pick.

Durant, Garnett and Kawhi are a notch above, but they don't represent a huge competitive advantage in this field like LeBron or Mike. The other guys mentioned generally don't go until later first round at best. We'll be building differently, and that's not all bad. Might see some rarely drafted players.

Made a quick list and came up with around 20 names who can be considered game changers on offense. Most of them aren't legit #1 options (=have never led a team to a championship), but a shallow pool should force us to think outside the box.

On the fence, because I'm not so sure about my availability in the next few days. You can add me if needed.

When would you be comfortable with starting? My weekend is going to be spotty as well. With you we'd have at least eight and maybe one or two will happen by and join.

Sorry to do this guys, but real life has hit me pretty hard this week.

I will play out the rest of the game I’m currently in but I can’t commit to another one, at least not at this time.
