Second pick, without superstars. Fantastic.

Are we going 1 through 16 and then 16 through 1 and then 1 through 16 again? or is the 3rd one also 16 through 1? I think it should be the former because high picks don't really have much of an advantage without superstars available.

the draft order is in the rosters thread. 1 to 16, 16 to 1, 1 to 16, etc.

players with serious injuries (4 weeks +) should not be drafted. if you're player is hurt AFTER you have drafted him, that will not be held against you.

some of the players i can think of off the top of my head and should not be drafted include yao, tmac, francisco garcia, brandan wright, mike dunleavy.

1st pick? Lot of pressure. And I love the team name given to me. :-)

Sam Bone has appointed me to be his advisor. I would like to thank him once again for the opportunity, and think even without my help he would be a championship contender due to his Basketball IQ that he has shown in other games

You beat me to the board, I was constructing our roster page and trying to figure out your exact title, so far I have appointed you the Senior Advisor to the Gm, but that can be negotiated. I am putting my ego aside and am willing to take advise from a vet to assure a championship!

I'm wondering who will be left for the end of the 2nd round and begining of the 3rd?

I really wanted Duncan, I thought he would still be there at 5, not sure why though. :)

^I think most had him at the top of their boards.

I did, and the two people who gave me their lists did.

The people outside I talked to also said Duncan should go number 1. If we're talking strictly about "win now" he's the first choice.

The Duncan pick was obvious the Melo pick really threw my off though, it was probably the reason Williams dropped to me. I had it going - Duncan/Dirk/KG/Roy/Williams

Yeah, I had Duncan #1 as well, I don't know why I thought he was going to fall, just wishful thinking I guess.

Garnett isn't a top player anymore. His health conditions and age are starting to take a toll. For me KG wasn't even in consideration (Duncan/Melo/Roy/Deron).

By shots made and percentage, Melo is more clutch than Kobe, Wade, and Lebron. Especially drafting at this stage, you need a guy that can hold the scoring load (something that KG can't do). Last year Melo really progressed his game to the next level, showing that he's nearly unstoppable offensively and has a hugggggeee improvement defensively.

Especially when considering the next player drafted, Deron and Roy would have little help, so Melo was the best choice.

And even Boston is concerned about Garnett's health.

Also, when was the last team that has won anything built around a PG?

Fair enough didn't say it was a bad pick, just surprised me. I love Melo don't get me wrong can't go wrong with him.
