Stay petty

Dinwiddie is up there in the top three as least favorite Wizards ever.

Me too. What a crazy unlikable guy. Kuz is pretty funny though (and extremely likable IMO)

He's not wrong about Wittman being a good coach.

In Wittman's 4 years here, the team ranked 5th, 8th, 5th and 14th in the league defensively. He was honestly the only coach to get the team to buckle down and play like a professional franchise.

They went to the 2nd round two years in a row, and in the 2nd year, they should have made it to the ECF's if not for Wall breaking his hand.

It started falling off in Wittman's final year. They went 41-41 despite pretty good health except for Beal missing 27 games. I think they started tuning Wittman out. So ultimately, I didn't mind the decision to move off of Wittman. Brooks took the same team (minus Nene) to 49 wins and a 7-game 2nd round loss to Boston in the following season. After that, Gortat started to decline, Wall got hurt, and that was it.

It's interesting to see Gilbert's rise as a media personality. I think he's going to end up being more known for his media career than his playing days.

I liked Whittman, think he get's really underrated because - as they were musing about on Bullet's Forever - he could never really shake the moniker as an interim coach. But as you pointed out nate, it was pretty much the only time in the past 40 years we've been a good defensive team, and at times they looked elite on that team. The team's inability to function better in the half court (goading Wall into too many jumpers or in general low quality shots), lack of effort by Wall, and some injuries were those team's Achille's.

I also loved his honesty, he wasn't afraid to mix it up and hold dudes accountable and say it out loud.

If we would have traded Tyus and Wright, we could have plugged the hole at PG with Goodwin

Yeah, I'd noticed that he was cut loose. We could have signed him anyway, btw, as we are at 14 players.

Who's following along with Yusuf Sanon's burgeoning international career? Yannick Nsoza??? Checking in on Rod Grizzard. Peter John Ramos on the Japanese wrestling circuit?? Draft night can't come soon enough.

How about not-yet Wizards?

Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade had an easy evening against Hercegovac and comfortably made it to the Serbian Cup (Radivoj Korac Mozzart Cup) semi-finals. The Serbian second-league outfit competed with the reigning ABA champs only in the first half, before the EuroLeague side prevailed by 92-67.

The top scorer for Zeljko Obradovic's team was Tristan Vukcevic with 15 points (3/3 2-point shooting, 3/6 3-point shooting, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 turnovers), with Balsa Koprivica adding 13 plus 14 rebounds, and Zach LeDay another 12.

Partizan thus completed the semi-finals of the Korac Cup in Nis, where they will face Vojvodina. The second semi-final pair consists of Crvena Zvezda and Cacak 94.

"It was a great game. We had a bad start, but we picked up in the second half," Vukcevic commented after the contest.

However, coach Zeljko Obradovic did not agree with the young wingman.

"My player was watching another game," he reacted.

"It wasn't good, we didn't play well. I would like to congratulate our opponents on everything they have done so far and wish them the best of luck in all the games and competitions."

However, Obradovic praised Vukcevic for his good game, and he was especially pleased with Balsa Koprivica's performance. The talented big man finished with a PIR of 27 and was named the game's MVP.

"They both played a good game, especially Balsa," Obradovic commented.

"He was outstanding in the last game in the ABA league against Igokea, and apart from 1-2 situations, he did everything else at a high level. He became aware of his quality and of how much he can help the team.

Tristan is a good player offensively, even defensively in certain moments better than before and that is encouraging. The first quarter was not at that level, but everything else, I have no complaints. I would like us to look even better," the 63-year-old tactician concluded.
