So Weaver trades Grant for a Bucks pick that might be in the 20s (probably in the 20s). Has a great draft by getting Ivey and Duran, then he bites into most of his cap space by taking on $19 million in salary in exchange for a 2nd rounder. Yo-yo offseason so far.

You are missing the part when he used that cap space and the Bucks pick to move up to #13 and draft Duren. It was the cap space generated in the Grant trade that made that Duren acquisition possible because they absorbed Kemba Walker into the transaction.

Essentially, Weaver traded Grant for Duren. That's a real good move. He traded a guy with an expiring contract for a lotto pick.

Report: Trail Blazers to offer Damian Lillard two-year, more than $100 million extension

https://nba.nbcsports.com/2022/06/29/report-trail-blazers-to-offer-damian-lillard-two-year-more-than-100-million-extension/

Beal should be offered no-more than a 3-year deal

That may be the case but you might want to recheck what they mean with an extension for Lillard. Lillard is already under contract to 2025. The extension would put him under contract until 2027. They're not talking about a short term commitment.

I hope Harden signs with Lakers for the MLE. It would be entertaining to see him and Westbrook take turns shooting and not give the ball to Lebron.

Also, Dejounte Murray to the Hawks. Atlanta now firmly top four in the east. I hope their owner is not afraid of the tax and that they keep Collins and Capela and all their wing players. That's going to be a really good team and fun to watch.

Happy that the Spurs are about to land their next great C after David Robinson and Tim Duncan. As much as I would like the Wiz to woof for Wembanyama, the Spurs have the next lotto already locked up.

Plus they got a ton for Dejounte Murray. And on top of that, Pop is going to have the kids left playing their San Antone's off and putting a decent product on the court for the next few years.

No matter what... or who the Spurs have on their team... they will still beat us at home next year.

Since 1999, no Wizards win at San Antonio.

Tre Jones, Josh Primo, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, Malaki Branham... Love the kids they have there

I bet Donovan MItchell ends up in Miami. Seems like a perfect fit for both. And I'm sure Utah would welcome Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro. Probably Max Strus goes in the trade too, because you know why.

Miami stays firmly ahead of the Wiz, as they've been for pretty much since the Alonzo Mourning days.
