What is everyone's thoughts about Jodie Meeks as a 2nd rounder for us. I mean all you are raving about steph curry, but Jodie Meeks is just as good as scorer, bigger, a pure SG, could be instant offense...curry to me is still a tweener, even though he supposedly improved his PG skills. Meeks is not a tweener but just an undersized SG at 6'4.

What do you think...

If we snagged the #1 pick and get Griffin
Jodie Meeks in the 2nd.

That would be awesome.

A lot of wiggle room there between Reggie and Wes. I haven't seen him play a lot and have dismissed him as marginal prospect because of the comparisons to Mike Sweetney, Zach Randolph, and other chunky undersized PF's. However, the stats are there, and it looks like he's lost some weight. From the highlights i've seen, it looks like he certainly has more energy than Sweetney and Randolph.

Maybe we draft him as a Lebron-Stopper? 6'7 and 265 with a 7'3 wingspan may be too much man for 'Bron to nudge off the crab dribble.

We already have a Jodie Meeks on our team: Nick Young.

Jodie Meeks is no Nick Young.

When I see Meeks, i see Roger Mason Jr. A guy who comes off the bench and can consistently hit the 3 and knock down jumpers.

Nick Young creates his own shot and has great athletic ability. I still think he can develop into a quality starting SG for us.

Exactly what I said probably 30 pages ago. He's probably a little more aggressive in getting off his shot, but yeah - he'd fit the RMJr role.

When I see Blair I basically see Danny Fortson without the crazy foul rate or the free throw percentage in the high seventies.

And just to remind everyone that there ain't nothing wrong with Danny Fortson...

In a way I'm more excited to see Jeff Adrien vs Blair. Expecting a bit of a streetfight, even though they're friends.

Adrien's gettin an arse whooping on the boards. With 9 minutes left in the half; Blair 8 rebounds, UConn 7.

Man, I wish the Wizards had a late first round pick. Sam Young is a really good player, best pump fake in the country.

A Griffin-Young-Blair (2nd round pick) would be a great draft night.

Man, Blair is fun to watch. Needs conditioning like mad, but boy does he love the contact and the challenge. Love his bang-to-fadeaway move, hooks after contact, really playing smart and thugly.

Heh, love it, gets blocked, collects the blocked shot, then gets pissed and attack the big freak's chest with a duck-under after a battering ram.

Love Blair when he sets a pick too, big boy sets a pick you stay picked, ouch...

He's shown a bit of useful NBA finesse too, and hinted at the ability to develop a bit of range. Even if he missed that heatcheck jumper, his form in the midrange has looked pretty good.

Really really needs an NBA pro trainer though to get that cardio up.

Agreed. Fortson is a good comparison.

Blair won't score much in the NBA but he'll rebound with the best of them.

I love Big East ball. Always a heavyweight fight. Good game. Punch counterpunch, piss blood later.

Blair threw Thabeet around like a rag-doll tonight. I love Blair as a college player, but the track record of these thick, under-sized PF's in the NBA is usually a short one. It will be interesting to see if he will be a one-and-done player this year. If he dominates in during March Madness, I bet someone guarantees his selection early first-round.

Blair cost Thabeet some money today. There is no way Thabeet's a top overall pick the way he was manhandled.

I was also very impressed both with Sam Young and with the quick U Conn PG, Walker. Walker really can defend and Young seems like an NBA player out there.

I don't disagree with you at all about PFs built like Blair, however, I would LOVE to have DeJuan at PF on this team with a C like Haywood, or alongside tall guys who can score in Blatche and McGee.

What the Wizards sorely need is an aggressive big and that kid is aggressive as hell.

Thabeet is similar to Javale in-that they can dominate smaller players, but put them up against someone with some muscle or size, and they disappear..,,for now.

I think the Danny Forston comparison is a good one too. We could definitely use a bruiser like that next to Blatche, McGee & Wood on occassion.

Frankly, I'd jizz in my pants if we could somehow come out of this draft with Curry & Blair.

As for Thabeet. He is who I thought he was.
