My new favorite player is John Butler. 7 ft 190 lbs is crazy.
Omoruya went for 31 last game, 11 rebounds, some assists and steals. He's a good player.

1. Washington Wizards: G Isaiah Collier
The college basketball season is underway and in a draft class that is wide open, a few players are making strong statements early on. USC freshman guard Isaiah Collier is one of the most powerful guards with the ball in his hands and has made a compelling case for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft in June with how well he's played early in the season.

Perhaps this draft will not be as dreadful as-is the current conventional wisdom

Well, we all (or at least me) thought the same obut Scoot and look at him now. The injury recovery is just an excuse to send him there without much media backlash.

I think you’re wrong about that. Teams now sometimes use the G league for injury recovery. Same way that MLB teams use their minor league teams as short term rehab spots for players.
Portland’s not playing for anything. I’m sure they don’t have a problem with Scoot learning on the job in the NBA….they probably prefer it.

Yup. The trail blazers roster is full of g league players apparently with all their injuries so they aren't trying to keep him down in the league because of any lack of talent from Scoot.

Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....

John Butler. Makur Maker. They keep trying to build a roster with outside shooting Bigs.
Gallinari, Muscala. Huff last year. Wes wants a system with a high post center. So far it's not working great for either team. Maybe Jake Stephens turns it around.

What's going on in that photo of him? Looks AI-generated. Otherwise he kinda looks like a real-life picasso painting.

If that photo is accurate, he's going to have a heck of a time shooting straight.

He looks like me out there. Slow as molasses, can't jump over a credit card, but with a decent set shot and an array of moves that work against 60 year old opponents

Go-Go have been more active this season than in recent years on the personnel front.
Right after Christmas they traded for a couple of new faces, Taylor Funk and Mychal Mulder. That's only a week after the Jake Stephens trade.
I suspect the Wiz will be more active than Tommy with the bottom third of the Wiz roster, also. Didn't OK City have the same approach? As I recall, they did pretty quick evaluations.
This trade deadline might be quite busy for the Wiz.

I want to see Johnny Davis in the G League. I need to see him score 20+ a game there. Seeing 5 minutes of garbage time play with 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 fouls is only telling me so much. Not sure why we can't risk playing him on a team that's playing .200 ball, but I don't get paid like WUJ to answer questions like that.

No kidding. If Poole is untradeable, just try Johnny in his minutes and see what happens.
