Opec is going to do great things on the offensive end for this team.

Good to see AJ shooting a strong percentage.

We got this.

Is he supposed to be in the building tonight?

Also wanted to mention that I like what Opec can do on the rebounding end.

Man, our team looks VERY promising the next couple of years. Mason, Young, Pech, and Blatche. Wow.

Man, Mason has been terrific tonight. His numbers aren't spectacular, but he seems to always make the right play.

Mason signed for a year, he'll probably get a nice contract in the offseason...but he already turned down a nice one so maybe he'll stay.

Nice solid win, Wiz. Good all around team effort. AJ was extraordinary and the bench came up big.

He's gone. He was offered something like the vet minimum with the Spurs. He's gonna double that this offseason. Oh well.

We have a lot more luxtax room next year to sign him. We could pay him 2 or 3 million next year no problem. The real issue is 2009/10. That's when the luxtax crunch kicks in. If EG can find a way to dump Etan, or if Arenas and/or Jamison sign relatively cheap contracts, then we will be in position to sign Mason to a long term deal.

Did you guys hear them talking about Arenas driving out to Dullles Tuesday night when the team landed? Man, Arenas is the furthest thing from a team cancer.

Eh, I guess. I figure we would have drafted a point guard, give Nick more minutes off the bench, etc.

That made me smile. I am glad that Gil is on the sideline watching what this team is doing without him. He's egotistical, but he's not stupid. I'm hoping he's learned a few things during his time off the court. We'll see.

What else makes me smile? Heat are about to lose their 12th straight.

Good win guys. Does Nick Young always play this well for you guys? He looks like he's got a ton of potential out there but hes still raw. Develop him please, i want to see what he can do. if you don't resign Arenas, this guy might be able to step in and play some decent minutes for you at combo guard.. I don't think he'll be as good as Arenas, but I think he'll be more willing to defer to Butler the way Arenas should have been doing all along, while at the same time performing at an above average level at his position eventually. Just something you might want to look into..

Nick Young was terrific, but he's no Gilbert Arenas. And the Bullets ARE re-signing Gil. They'd be crazy not to.

By the way, Washington is now only 1.5 games behind Orlando and tied in the loss column. Just thought I'd mention it.

You are talking about a top 5 scorer in the league with a very good TS%, and you think he should have been deferring to Caron? I think he needs to get Caron involved, but not necessarily defer. Caron is awesome, but on offense, he is no Gil...especially at the end of games.
