Reprises The Amazingly Sucky basic'ly Everything Thread

Post#1 » by doclinkin » Fri Oct 10, 2008 1:55 pm

I think it was called Amazingly whiny internet bxtches or something. CCJ and forgive me I forget who else came up with the idea. --claim credit here--

Basically If you just want to complain and get things off you chest, even if you ordinarily don't, feel free to vent your spleen here. Find something to complain about. Even us rah-rah fanatics sometimes need a spot to express doubts and get pissed off about something. This here is your heavy bag to beat on.

This might seem redundant, but whatever, if you have nothing to add to a topic beyond generalized griping cool. Following the adage "If you have nothing nice to say: come sit near me."

Suck on. Suck hard.

at some point we'll re-start a links thread.

Re: Reprises Th'Amazingly Sucky basic'ly everything Thrd

Post#2 » by doclinkin » Fri Oct 10, 2008 2:06 pm

I'll start:

Seems like for a while we've had nothing but coach whiners and doom addicts on the site, with just a few moderate voices or diehard positivists. I'd be pissed as all get-out if the place turned into another ESPN hellhole with every thing becoming 'suck suck suck'.

On the other hand. Good Gods, Brendan is out now too. I knew somehow it wouldn't be 30 seconds before this somehow turned into a rant about the coaching. Sure enough. But sure, agreed, it sucks ass to constantly be battling uphill, fighting through adversity. Overcoming odds and obstacles. Losing leads then having to gut out a win. Teetering on the edge of hope then slipping backwards on the toboggan riding the wrongway down the hill.

Now the grim irony guy goes, well yeah now maybe Brendan gets respect around the league. But what kind of comfort is grim irony.

So in sum:

Bitching sucks.
Injuries suck.
Waiting on a healthy roster sucks.
Suck sucks.

That's a fine placeholder for now. Back to my usual shxt-to-fertilizer mode. Later.

Since this is the complaining thread....

It's going to be a lot harder to "gut out a win" when we can't get stops. One of the main reasons we we always competitive last season (and in previous seasons) when our star(s) was/were out is the defense of Haywood. Instead of trading baskets, we could get a few stops and score on our end.

I'm not saying it's going to be impossible, but I don't expect to see many of those 'gut it out' games (as Doc put it).

This team wouldn't suck so hard at the fundamentals of basketball if the media put some pressure or questioned EFJ for his terrible defensive schemes every season.

The complacent attitude of majority of this fan base and media is sickening.

This team gets my hopes up every year only to watch it come crashing down.

It's groundhog day every season with this franchise but I'll still keep taking it up the rear. Doesn't change the fact that I hate everything this management and the coaching staff has done over the past two years.

I'm alot more optimistic with Javale's improvement. I think we'll be fine until Gil comes back.

Oh....was this not the place for that.

Well shat on ya'll then.

I expect to see Cuppy Coffee mailing it in again most games this year and the 100 level getting royally screwed. With the DD at 7th and F open now I could actually cash in those free coffees (I work a block from VC). Plus, I don't expect it to change as long as Eddie Jordan is coaching.

Puh-lease. Since when does the 100 level get screwed?

Come up to the hill sometime. Those T-shirt cannons don't reach up there, let alone the burritos.

The t-shirt thing is on Eddie as well, since he grabbed the best t-shirt gun to use in the Mercedes commercial.

And we have the video to prove it, at about :27.

Fans on the Hill may not get the burritos, but they also don't run the risk of getting spit on either.

I'll be excessively positive. I really believed this would be the year we get out of the first round. I bought 100 level season tickets to enjoy it. We'll start off slow and finish strong. The important thing is not to rush injured players back.

THIS IS LEBRONS TEAM. Wade practically begged LeBron to cum, of course he had to give up some things to convince Lebron that it was worth it to join him in miami.

Whoever thinks that putting together Ikea furniture is fun should be shot.

Those no-language drawing instructions always miss something and is a good argument against the UN, one-world-order thing. My three-year-old is laughing at me.

I think it's pretty sucky how Michael Lee of the Post has predicrted Detroit to get into the playoffs this year (at the #8 spot). I really disagree.

dang:

a) Most campaign commercials is suck.

b) Fox AND Cablevision is suck.

c) The BCS system is suck.

d) The new Lebron commercial is suck. What should you do? How about you stop being a douche? Try starting with that. And stop speaking about yourself in the third person.

Comcast is the ultimate suck. Their customer support system is a gigantic fail.
