How about the simple fact he played 35 minutes? I remember when this kid couldn't step foot on the floor without fouling out.

I think that's also a product of wise rotations, and let's face it...a better defense where people are not parading down the lane. Flip's defense has the guys in the right position. No more senseless, infuriating switches. Notice the one time when Arenas matched up with Dirk and Oberto was nowhere, Gil immediately fouled him. IMAGINE THE MUTHA FUGGIN CONCEPT!! Damn I'm so ****** glad that we got rid of....no no no, I can't live in the past. Must move on.

Yeah, I'm with the status quo too, Arena, Blatche and Foye.

I loved how Foye was used too. I think Dallas running so much Terry made it easier and I don't know if this will be the routine throughout, but Foye and Arenas as the backcourt is sweet far as this fella' figures.

Some interior penetration not withstanding, the defense was nice too and there was lots of 'want it' going round with the blue shirts.

Here's to the pattern continuing in Hotlanta!

Voted for Foye. Loved the Gil/Foye backcourt.

+1

Add to that Ernie Grunfeld.

I knocked his moves, but tonight I saw Oberto do the kinds of things only a veteran like him could get away with. I saw Foye look extremely poised and confident in the fourth, knocking down shots when the Mavs were focusing on Gil. Miller made a key steal and played smart,. Give Ernie props because this was a big win with guys he brought in getting it done. I look at the box score and see Caron fourth in scoring, no Jamison, and the team wins. I watch the Celtics beat the Cavs and at the end of the game, Garnett says LAL, CLE, ORL ... and WASHINGTON all got better. Whoa. EG is looking really good right now.

I'm so happy I'm almost speechless.

Gil was POTG and he is back!
Bye bye Beal.

Gil
Foye
Blatche

Yes Blatche had a great first half, but I was more impressed what Foye was able to do in crunch time with his scoring and that big offensive rebound where he was above the rim.

It's also a testament to Blatche's improved dedication to cardiovascular fitness. Many of those silly fouls in the past were due to him being winded.

Now, just imagine if he gave up Cinnabons....

didn't see/hear KG's comment but I have 2 very different responses
to that

1. Of course we're going to be better than19 wins (duh)

2. we're enough better to maybe be a part of the conversation
with the big boyz of the east.

ps - of course Gil is PotG

'dray/foye I'll give a tie for 2nd- like I said, Foye is going to look
great next to Gil. And now that I have gotten a taste of it, Flip
just maybe the one that turns the light on for Andray. That's
all he needs.

It's just a thing of beauty watching Arenas out there with the basketball. I've missed it tremendously over the last two years.

Sadly didn't see the game, but judging by the box score and everyones comments here it seems Arenas did more than what the statsheet gives him credit for.

So Arenas with Blatche and Foye following.

It all started with Gilbert opening-it up for everyone, but Blatche & Foye having good games kept us steady.

Arenas
Blatche
Foye

Arenas still has that lightning speed and can still get to the rim at will.

"Attaboy!" vote for Blatche even though it was really Arenas. Not just the game but the expression on his face yesterday was all business. Man, if he can keep that up all year -- holy crap! Because his defense looks goooooooood, not that I'm dissing AJ or whatever, he does what he can with the tools he has, but Seven Day Dray is a Presence with a capital P when he's not committing stupid fouls on the perimeter.

Gil was FABULOUS. WOW! Normally he gets about four defensive facepalms a game but he was locked in. DAMN.

DAMN. Team looked like a 50 win team, without their allstar starting four!!!!

Stay healthy, stay focused everybody. Championship.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.
