1. AJ by far... First game back of an injury and gets 31/10... Gil should take notes lol, j/k...

2. Miller, great passing, great shot selection, great court vision on both sides of the floor...

3. Boykins/Haywood/Gil/DSteve/Blatche... Can't really pick one... All had significant impact at certain times in the game...

1. AJ was bigtime tonight...we needed him (and this W) badly
2. Miller was great, although I am worried about him tweaking his shoulder (again) in the last quarter. Hopefully, it's nothing serious.
3. Agent Zero still hasn't found the range, so Boykins' work off the bench was needed.

1. AJ - huge spark for the team and just what they needed. AJ, MIller and Haywood kept the team afloat in the first half when we were struggling.

2. Stevenson - I know he doesn't compare statistically, but I thought he really got in the Queen's head once he came in later in the third. Loved the way he dug in and kept physically challenging LeB1tch after he'd made the three straight threes. He was almost a nonfactor thereafter.

3. Miller - tremendous all around play. He's just a perfect fit with our big three.

1. Miller - Fantastic game from the facilitator. I'm always comfortable with the ball in his hands (except for the one play in the beginning of the second half where he had some open shooters, but he made the shot anyway). Great shooting, great passing, great rebounding, and decent closing defense.

2. Jamison - I've never been his biggest fan or anything, but man, is it great to see him out there. He played a great game. I know he'll bring it offensively and on the defensive boards, but I'm always wary of his defense, and I didn't notice him, which is a good thing.

3. Stevenson - When it counted most and we really needed to put down the clamps, Stevenson surprised me with a great defensive performance.

Jamison
Miller
Boykins (loved the spark he gave us in the second half in relief of ice cold Arenas)

I hate that one of Jamison or Miller has to come in 2nd place in this vote. Both were awesome. I'm going to go with Jamison because the team so desperately needed his scoring in the first half. He kept it from being a complete blowout early on. He also didn't make any egregious defensive mistakes.

I think Haywood deserves 3rd. He really clogged the paint and controlled the glass. When he left the game near the end of the 1st quarter, the team fell apart. They got it back together as soon as he came back in.

1. Jamison
2. Miller
3. Haywood

+2

AJ, Miller, and Little Earl for 1-3 POTG.

Honorable mentions: Brendan kept them alive in the second and DeShawn played very well off the bench.

Flip ended up calling the right players at the right time in what feels like a team win.

Arenas played pretty well in the third quarter.

Overall, Haywood did play a GREAT game. I think Z's wide open shots in the first quarter colored my opinion. But thinking back, Haywood had to help because other players were getting beat.

Yeah, you're right. I mean, I was not a happy camper when I saw Boykins come back into the game, or Caron stay in the game, but it sure worked out.

Jamison. The Wizards finally got a little Captain in 'em.

anybody think that butler should take a 6th man role? he seemed more comfortable as the focal point of the offense once gil was off the court.

Start
Gil
Foye
Miller
Jamison
Haywood

with a really stacked 2nd unit of
Boykins
DS
Butler
Blatche
Oberto

really that takes 2 gameplans.

I'm in, though I still worry about Butler in that role as he took some really tough shots when he was 'the man'. He made those shots tonight, but I'm not overly optimistic on that working out with any great efficiency over the long haul.

But I do think it sounds like an interesting idea, yeah. He was more confident in the fourth as 'the man'.

I'd start:

Gil
Miller
Jamison
Blatche
Haywood

Bring Butler in pretty early for Blatche, then bring Blatche back in to rest Jamison.

As for player of the game it goes...

1. Captawn
2. Miller
3. Wood

But I'm in favor of sending Caron to the bench, Blatche is very effective in the starting lineup, plus with Jamison at the it makes us real big, and Caron can be a Super sub.

AJ
MM
DS

AJ'S matador defense be damned, his offensive repertoire gave this squad a needed shot in the arm. I love everything about Millions except his hair and horribly placed tats. And DeShawn really stepped it up on the defensive end against Lebron.

Wood is a very close HM b/c his blocks/ defense were key in the 1st half.

Good signs -- Gil and CB had pretty poor shooting performances and we still won against a quality opponent. I'm optimistic that both of those guys are going to figure out their roles/ spots in the O and start putting up more respectable percentages which is going to make the Wiz a really dangerous team.
