Mayo's next year replacement is a 5-10 PG who averages 8 ppg on a last place team.

It's not a waste of a scholarship at all. It opens things up for a lot of media attention as well as attract a guy thats projected as a top 5 pick in next years draft class.

it's not fishy, USC is giving lil romeo that scholarship so they can get one of the nations best highschoolers to sign with USC as well... as for why does he even need a scholarship when that kind of money is just chump change for his dad... it only makes good sense, think of all the donations Master P will give because his boy is playing USC basketball

Great for the team morale! Mayo has played his last game as a Trojan, they will rent Derozan for a year, and will be stuck with Lil' Romeo as a PG for 3 years.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

It's more than possible that they don't renew his scholarship next year as well, and then have him pay his own way through.

I guarantee you that he plays about 5 minutes a game at least and at most he will get around 18. Not a good player to use a scholarship for, but a good way in the sense you get a lot more high recruiters coming in in the future.

Lil' Romeo is the biggest joke I have ever heard in my life. He's not gonna average more than 3 ppg in his career.

Never underestimate the power of the media. Lil' Romeo will see more minutes than he deserves.

people are just focusing on lil romeos points. He's a pass first PG, and pretty good at that. If he plays, he will only be setting people up

USC has no shame. As long as they're willing to admit that, I have no problems with this.

He's the new Saul Smith. Who didn't have fun making fun of that guy.
