I do believe NY has enough of shooting guard trying to play as full time point guards.I dont think they will go into combo guard route again.Gordon and Bayless may be the same size but Gordon has a huge wingspan and better athleticism which enables him to be a full time shooting guard at NBA level.

I think this is the only mock where I've seen the Cavs taking a PG. I just don't see that happening. The team needs some youth on the front line and/or a SG.

I beg to differ in terms of Cleveland's needs.Granted their frontcourt is not young however they are pretty solid.Varejao,Ilgauskas,Ben Wallace and Joe Smith are all decent frontcourt players and they are all good at least for 20-22 mpg.So that does not leave a lot of playing time left. Also I'd like to remind that all of these players are under the contract for the upcoming season and except Varejao, they are not very easy to move so there is a high probability that they will be in Cavs uniform next season.

In my opinion,Cavs biggest need is a shooting guard who can hit 3's consistenly and defend very well.Since there are not any players left at 19 to fit that description, they might try to fill their second biggest void, which is point guard spot.Delonte West was very solid but he is a free agent right now so he might bolt to somewhere else.Gibson was decent in his rookie year but a little bit disappointing in his second season so it is highly questionable whether he can be starting point guard for a contender. That's why I think Chalmers is a very good fit for Cavs.He is a great shooter, can take care of the ball very well(evidenced by his very solid assist/turnover ratio). He is also very solid defensively

It's not out of the question that the Cavs take a PG. But I would be amazed if they did. Sure Delonte is a free agent but he's restricted and every statement by the Cavs is that they plan on having him back. I don't know any Cavs fan that was disappointed by Gibsons play this year but he's just learning the position and was injured a bit. The person that is most likely to not be back this season is actually Varejao.
