My 1st Mock UPDATED 6/24

Post#1 » by DmoneyH3 » Tue Jun 23, 2009 10:22 pm

#1- Clippers- Blake Griffin
No explanation needed

#2- Grizzlies- Ricky Rubio
He won't be a Grizz, & I think the Wolves trade up for him

#3- Thunder- Hasheem Thabeet
They want a big, and he is the best center in the draft

#4- Kings- Johnny Flynn
I see them being left in the cold in the Rubio dealings, go with best PG left

#5- TimberWolves- James Harden
This will be the pick sent to Memphis

#6- TimberWolves- Tyreke Evans
Apparently, they are very high on him

#7- Warriors- Jordan Hill
Pick doesn't make sense, but heard they like him

#8- Knicks- Stephen Curry
The Wolves trade for 5, drops him to the Knicks

#9- Raptors- DeMar DeRozan
They definitely need athleticism on the wing

#10- Millwaukee Bucks- Jrue Holiday
Hardest player in the draft to place, Bucks need replacement for Sessions if he goes elsewhere

#11- Nets- Gerald Henderson
W/ Vince on the decline, a future 2 is needed

#12- Bobcats- Terrence Williams
Apparently MJ likes him, uh oh

#13- Pacers- Brandon Jennings
One of Ford or Jack will be moved, making room for another PG

#14- Suns- James Johnson
They need wing depth and eventual replacement for Hill

#15- Pistons- BJ Mullens
I'm buying into the promise, they could use a young center

#16- Bulls- DeJaun Blair
A bit of a steal here, Blair would is ideal here

#17- 76ers- Ty Lawson
PG is a glaring need with Miller almost surely gone

#18- Timberwolves- Earl Clark
The slide stops here, nice 3/4 player to step in right away since the team looks to be trading Miller

#19- Hawks- Jeff Teague
Great value, a pg is needed since Law seems bustworthy and Bibby is nearing the end

#20- Jazz- Tyler Hansborough
Match made in heaven for Sloan and the Jazz with Psycho T

#21- Hornets- Eric Maynor
We all saw how bad they were without Pargo, take a chance on the best PG left

#22- Mavericks- Chase Budinger
Antoine Wright isn't cutting it, roll the dice on the enigma that is Budinger

#23- Kings- Austin Daye
When you're as bad as Sacto, you take the high risk/high reward player

#24- Trail Blazers- Wayne Ellington
BPA, adds depth at the 2 if Rudy or Webster is dealt

#25- Thunder- Darren Collison
Westbrook needs a backup, also can allow Westbrook to play some 2 at times

#26- Bulls- Rodrigue Beaubois
Hinrich looks on the way out, no harm in taking a risk on this athletic freak

#27- Grizzlies- Victor Claver
Need a serious 4, he may only become a backup, but they need help up front

#28- Knicks- Nick Calathes
Someone who can be sashed over in Greece for a year, seems like a D'Antoni player

#29- Lakers- Sam Young
Ready to contribute right away, could spell Kobe at the 2

#30- Cavaliers- Omri Casspi
Slim picking left here, they take a chance on the fallen Euro

This draft is a crap shoot after pick 6, and the middle of the draft is just brutal, conflicting reports keep coming out and so many of these players could be interchangeable.

The Bucks won't pass on Hill to draft Holiday.
