Albert Nahmad made a point of making that since Miami waived Yaten, they will not be allowed to sign him to GLeague or two-way contract rest of season. What is the reason Miami can't? I couldn't figure it out.

He was waived with a guarantee that was greater than 50K. That makes him ineligible for that season to be a 2-way or GL player for the team that waived him.
