I don't have a problem banning some Lebron trolls (and have even posted that they are trolling) but I don't see how some of these Kobe trolls that just want to disrespect Lebron (and the Cavs) are not getting the same treatment?

First, I have a question. Is it ok if I referred to Kobe as "KoME" or how about a nickname referring to him raping someone.

I want to know how this is also not baiting? "An Unbiased Fan" is not a Cavs fan, and everyone knows it.

An Unbiased Fan doesn't start a new LeBron thread every other day. He's not exactly a good poster, nor is he really funny, but he's not really trolling.

He doesn't go into every thread that has nothing to do with LeBron and someone bring him up and derail the thread. This is happening consistently on the PC board from the well known trolls.

Like I said, I'm not supporting the other trolls. I want to know how that is not trolling though. Not starting threads does not mean he is not trolling. Likewise, there can be trolling, IMO, within a thread already about a person. Actually, I said baiting in reference to AUF. How is that not baiting?

Well, first we have to understand that exactly zero people responded to his post. this is the best way to deal with people like this--ignore their stupidity.

Second--I read your complaint, and sent a PM to An Unbiased Fan, saying that talking a little smack from time to time is acceptable. Making a habit out of it, especially to the point where it inhibits the ability of other posters to enjoy the boards, will get him suspended or banned.

Technically, it's hard NOT to bait people. If I went on the Philadelphia Board, and said, "I don't think Elton Brand can rebound like he used to, so unless he gets a midrange game, he's going to be a really expensive, mediocre player," is that baiting? It's not as bad, but still.

I am totally sympathetic to people who want raise the tone of the PC board and stop the thread hijacking. (there will be some changes implemented very soon, btw.) At the same time, I also think that part of the fun of a board like this is being able to disagree in a joking or friendly manner. Different people have different ideas about what is funny. Non mean-spirited jokes...always welcome. Occasional smack or even insults...comes with the territory. Regular disparaging comments...not acceptable.

I think this situation was handled perfectly. The stupid post was ignored, a PM was sent to let the person know that continual posts of that type wouldn't be accepted.

And no, I don't think you baited anyone on the Philly board. You gave an honest opinion of a player. He gave an opinion of a team that 1. He is not a fan of and 2. Has a history of degrading. I do agree the best thing to do is not respond, but how easy is it to imagine twenty23 or one of the other Cavs fans to respond to that with something (I'm glad they didn't). Then it becomes a huge flame war.

For clarification, I wasn't trying to bait anyone. I was just making a dumb joke because some seem to think I hate the Cavs. The Mod was right to warn me because it could have derailed the thread. I'm very blunt and say things that many disagree with, but I always give reasons for my thinking, and never name call.

As to this topic. The PC board got repetitive because it was summertime, and there were really just a handful of posters who started threads. Once the season starts I expect things to improve, hopefully others will chime in with different comparisons.

Good post, I dont think you are a troll nor do I think you should be suspended. You do give reasoning for your opinion, even though many disagree with it. And lastly you do not name call, oh and you bring the lulz.

I agree. I think everyone on the PC board wants to keep things friendly. Sometimes people (and this includes me, of course) screw up a little. But as long as it isn't frequent or typical of a poster...not a problem.

I have no bias towards either side, I'm a long time Kobe fan, but I think LeBron is a better player, I'm not a fan of the Cavs or Lakers as organizations.

There is a lot of baiting and attacking from both sides, but a few guys are pushing the personal attacks on other posters too far, and some guys are taking the bait more than others.

I really don't want to suspend or ban anyone on the board, I just want healthy discussion threads without the same crap spilling over into multiple threads.

Have you ever seen Paul/Deron threads? We get really hot into it, the threads can drag on for ages, and a lot of the same things will be rehashed, but we don't start talking about "oh yea, Paul's nuts on your chin man!!" and stuff like that.

A lot of you guys are long time members, you know where the lines are, that's why I'm not really issuing multiple warnings over and over for the same crap, I'm just sending in the suspension requests.

Seriously, you are all smart enough to know what you should or shouldn't do, and believe me, I don't feel like posting bans or suspensions at all, but people like twenty23 are getting ridiculous.
