Were the myriad of injuries throughout the Knicks roster just simple misfortune, or a result of Thibs playing his guys a million minutes?

My concern with this roster is it consists of guys who are injury-prone even before Thibs started playing them heavy minutes. Bogi is old, Mitch, OG, and Randall are not dependable to be healthy in general.

Brunson’s injury was a fluke since it was a stress fracture.

Hart’s was likely the only one due to minutes.

Robinson is injury prone due to his build and style. OG is as well. Randle was taken out by Miami twice. Hart may have been impacted but that's about it.

Honestly, most of the injuries were flukes except for Mitch Robinson, who was purposely injured by Embiid. If you look at playoff minutes per game, there is only 1 Knick in the top 10. I don't think it's rotation problem. Every coach does that in the playoffs. They sure didn't look gassed in game 5. It's amazing they got as far as they did with 2/3rds of their rotation injured and the other third playing banged up.

Randle's injury was as flukey as it gets. He's not injury prone, he had a couple unlucky events.

Randle was in the game with 4 minutes left and a 16 point lead. Thibs is a moron who doesn't trust his bench to hold a **** 16 point lead for 4 minutes.

You can dodge the bullet multiple times but Thibs machine guns the roster with idiotic crap like this. Up 20 with 10 minutes and can't let the bench ride it out, win or lose. Must win in February = No wins in Spring.

16 points can disappear in 2 minutes in this league. Trying to blame Thibbs over a fluke injury is dumb. LMFAO @ being up by 20 with 10 minutes to go. That's not even close to a safe lead.

True, when you are a trash coach with no offense no lead is safe.

LMFAO, what? Did you mean defense there? Thibbs is not a trash coach, you're a trash fan. We've seen dudes like Steph Curry and Luka Doncic delete 20 points leads in less than 5 minutes, and that's being generous. They are basically ungardable when they are hot. I'm sure it's happened faster than that. Yeah, in today's league a 20 point lead with 10 minutes isn't safe. Just facts.

You are a trash coach who hasn't prepared his bench if you blow a 16 point lead with 4 minutes to go. That's 10 shot clock cycles.

As you finish crocheting your 2nd Seed Banner to hang in your garage just remember that would be the 6th seed in the West. So ... bounced in the 2nd round, by a lower seed. Playoff worst defensive rating. Whole starting lineup injured by season end. Thibs is trash.

A 16 point lead can be gone in 6 shots. When teams play from behind, they aren't using the full 24 second shot clock, so it's way more than 10 possessions. It has nothing to do with bench preparation, it's just the nature of the current game where people live and die by the 3 point shot.
