Jesus… not everything is a comparison. This is impressive because the level of form consistency and rhythm she got into. She legit caught fire and some of you are comparing this to the NBA? Y’all should just sit back and appreciate it for what is; an incredible display of shooting. My god

Well for some reason the tweet said WNBA or NBA. It's a WNBA achievement. We should just leave it at that.

Uh, no. It’s the best shooting performance without a miss in the history of the contest across every pro level. Unless, you are a blind idiot...you can see clearly why it’s an amazing performance.

So, unless you are a blind idiot. Give credit where it’s due and leave it at that. It’s historic. Deal with it.

Is she not a WNBA player? She doesn't play in the NBA or compete in the NBA 3-point contest. The ball is smaller. The distance is shorter. It's a WNBA achievement. That's not shade. That's the truth. What the **** is your problem?

ETA: The point is, they are not going to put her record in the NBA books or the Euroleague books. They're separate organizations.

I mean did anyone not predict people rushing to their screens to tell us that the WNBA uses a smaller ball and has a shorter 3 point line? Yes, the WNBA ball's diameter is roughly 1/4 to 1/3 inch shorter. The 3 point line is about 1 foot and 7 inches shorter at the top of the key, but the same distance in the corners.

Women on average are shorter, not as strong, and have smaller hands. If the ball and distances were the same, THEN the comparison wouldn't be fair. This is more impressive than any 3-point shootout performance in either league, period.

Insane. The WNBA's three-point comp is usually pretty great.

It’s good, but it’s kind of like being impressed with a dude who kills it in pop-a-shot.

I can say this with complete confidence. No NBA player beats that. They don't walk up to that sized ball, and a partly shorter line that they never practice at, and beat what she just did. Never happening. So, there's that.

The focus and consistency was incredible.

It doesn't matter that the ball is smaller in this example as all the makes were complete perfect, centre of the hoop swishes.

To be that accurate and consistent when not using a set shot is impressive.

Maybe, but considering they have smaller hands on average and are shorter, it would be pretty unfair to have a ball as big and be as far.

What she did is probably more impressive than what any player has ever done in the men contest.

You are saying maybe, but it's not a maybe. It is a WNBA achievement. What is so hard about admitting it and celebrating that? Why are people bringing up the NBA at all? She's not competing against NBA players under NBA rules and vice versa.

Both things can be true...That it is impressive but at the same time it is a WNBA record and shouldnt be included with the NBA due to the ball and 3pt line. I mean a normal person can understand both sides.

Super impressive tho!

That’s true. But I don’t think they were making comparisons. Just pointing it out in case anyone was wondering.

But the WNBA themselves are making the comparison

Read on Twitter

I agree with you. These are separate contests and they should keep it separate. Bringing the NBA into it is just pointless and diminishes her spotlight tbh

Yeah I don't understand the tweet comparison to the NBA when we all know the ball is smaller and the distance is shorter.
It's two different leagues with different parameters.

Without distraction this was an awesome shooting performance.

Insert her in late game situations in an NBA game, and it could work, correct?

One day, i think we'll see it. Obviously just a specialist shooter role but a woman in the NBA...

No zero chance. She would never even be able to get the ball.

The NBA has a 22-foot 3-point line in the corners and a 23-foot, 9-inch line elsewhere. The WNBA and the international game plays with a 20-foot, 6-inch line.

The difference is very small.
