The official size of the basketball used by the NBA is 29.5 inches in circumference. That’s the same size used throughout men’s college and high school basketball leagues. The WNBA uses a slightly smaller ball, measuring 28.5 inches in circumference.

Also very small difference.

Very impressive. A performance for the ages. Pinpoint accuracy and consistency.

Just imagine these skills at display when she's washing the dishes back at home...

Warning: sexist, inappropriate. This is what we want to steer away from. Please stick to topic.

I see they messed with the classic game once again. NBA is such a dumb business..

Yes, the WNBA ball's diameter is roughly 1/4 to 1/3 inch shorter. The 3 point line is about 1 foot and 7 inches shorter at the top of the key, but the same distance in the corners.

Women on average are shorter, not as strong, and have smaller hands. If the ball and distances were the same, THEN the comparison wouldn't be fair. This is more impressive than any 3-point shootout performance in either league, period.

I can say this with complete confidence. No NBA player beats that. They don't walk up to that sized ball, and a partly shorter line that they never practice at, and beat what she just did. Never happening. So, there's that.

You're arguing about semantics. It's not like you are forced to shoot feet on the line... Even she didn't shoot like that but way farther.

Watching her stats, he has improved a lot this year, and he shoots much better from 3 than for 2... curious.

Admit that I do not know much about her, but she's shooting 44.6% from three this year. That's near damn automatic.

Jesus… not everything is a comparison. This is impressive because the level of form consistency and rhythm she got into. She legit caught fire and some of you are comparing this to the NBA? Y’all should just sit back and appreciate it for what is; an incredible display of shooting. My god

I mean it's the WNBA who compared first. They tweeted out that she set the official WNBA *AND* NBA three-point contest record.

It's a massively impressive consistency of shooting in a 3-point contest. It just often feels like the league is always striving for more validation by comparing itself, and the player achievements to the NBA.

You're different leagues with different rules. Let your product stand for itself and trumpet and appreciate the accomplishments for what they are.

It doesn't matter since men haven't done this with a smaller ball and a closer 3-point line. And none of them would be able to anyway except Steph maybe. It's the greatest performance in 3-point shootout history.

Are people really upset over some social media director invoking the NBA 3-pt contest records and comparing Sabrina's feat to them in a tweet? Talk about missing the point about bringing attention to an amazing performance - crawl back to your caves.

Hilarious that the GOAT shooter Steph recognized the brilliance of this, but some random dude on the internet is threatened a woman did something badass.
