Montepaschi Siena is in leading position in Euro league. Another competent in that series is Bobby Brown. bwin MVP this match will be more enjoyable.

Olympiakos made the finals beating Cska moscow by 17 points this time, whilst again being a huge underdog! Final is on sunday! Hope we get the 2nd in a row!

Οlympiakos made the repeat in Euroleague, winning 100-88 Real Madrid after being down with 27-10 after the first quarter. 90 points in 30', which is a Euroleague record I think.

I'm so happy about this repeat

I'm so glad Bartzokas proved me wrong.
Bravo to my team for defying the odds again and repeating. Going to be even tougher to maintain the core.

I think i share a very popular general belief that Spanoulis is overrated. Still think he is, but its getting hard to make cases for such opinion. Last year I thought - well ok, OLY is good, but thats still a fluke. They proved it wasn't.
OLY is just a nicely built team. Individual talent is not that huge, but they get just the right guys. Law and Printezis could make all-underrated team right now. People never talks about Printezis, but he is damn good. And Knicks offered him minimum, GTFO.
Then there is Law. You can always count on his will, D and ball handling skills. Just when it looked his career is falling apart, OLY truly maxed his potential. Great player, guy like him is rarity in Europe, pure American product.

Re: Euroleague discussion thread
Our bench stepped up in a big way when we needed it the most.
Sloukas came in and changed the tide of the game. We hadn't force Real in a single turnover until Sloukas came in and created 3 turnovers with his pressing defense. He also scored 11 points (7/7 from the line) and gave us some much needed scoring in the 2nd along with Antic (10 points, 6 rebounds). Perpeloglou helped with his scoring as well in that quarter (10 points in 12 minutes). Shermadini gave us some good minutes as well. Heck, even Katsivelis helped with his drive and kicks.
Law and Hines were extremely pivotal, of course.
Law scored 20 points (4/6 FG, 11/13 FTs), grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Hines scored 12 points (4/4 FG, 4/5 FTs), grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 3 assists and also had 3 blocks. We weren't winning last night without those two.

Re: Euroleague discussion thread
Did you see the block on Mirotic by 2 Olympiakos players? You can see it here:
http://www.marca.com/2013/05/13/balonce ... 1368458535
Skip forward to the Top1 play. ¿Do you think it was a foul?
I think there is no way in hell that can be or should be a foul. The block is as clean as it gets, and after that, yes, there is a collision between the players. But, what were the 2 defenders supposed to do? Give up on the play and let Mirotic score to avoid any possible harm?
Nice block on a tough play, time to move on. What do you think about this?

It's not a foul at all, the landing was just a bit awkward.

Re: Euroleague discussion thread
It wasn't a foul.
Pero Antic sucks though. Guy jacks 3s on terrible efficiency, and thats all he does. Same last night, 10 points but 9 shot attempts.
Shermadini good for 10 minutes, I guess. His pick and roll defense is smth. else. He plays that Valanciunas-esque defense, where he completely leaves his man and sticks to ball handler. He lucked out on 1 play last night, somehow forced a TO on Llull.
Its all about Greeks and Acie Law. Greek players just knows how to play, u'll very rarely see a one trick pony Greek, most of them are really versatile and fundamentally sound.

Re: Euroleague discussion thread
Shermandini played surprisingly good in the minutes he was given at the F4 and how terrible he had been for the rest of the season.
Antic's play in these 2 games is vastly above his season's average. His best attribute is that he's tough for most opponent PFs in the paint; not that he's a good defender, but he annoys you by constantly hand-checking, pushing and being physical. His treys are very streaky though.
You forget Kyle Hines, he was the MVP of the team in the F4 IMO, as he recorded a double double in the Semi against CSKA's frontline that was vastly bigger (he's 6'5") and he was just as amazing in the Final too.
The team's core is Guards Spanoulis, Law, Mantzaris, Sloukas + Katsivelis who's shown some lockdown D and good distribution in his limited minutes, Papanikolaou, Parperoglou and Printezis as Forwards plus Hines' play at the '5'

Well, he helped us a bit in the Euroleague. He was able to hit the mid range J and grab boards. He actually started in the Euroleague Finals but played limited minutes since Kyle Hines was killing it.

i am "gavro" (olympiacos fan) bro !
his only good game was the 5th with Efes Pilsen imo.
i'd like to sign someone like Aaaron Baynes instead of him for the next year

Well, I'd prefer Baynes as well. I loved his game when he played for Ikaros. The Spurs picked him up, though, and I don't see him returning to Europe anytime soon.
We can still sign someone else. Ryan Kelly seems to be ideal for Europe if he goes undrafted.

Yep, we should have grabbed Baynes when he was still in Greece.
Here's a write up about Ryan Kelly on DX -> http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Ryan-Kelly-5242/
