$12M is basically the MLE, that's an easy yes

Gordon at 12 a year would be amazing.

I think Gordon is probably gone if we don't trade him. Someone will give him MLE money and if you are him you are probably taking that from a contender over Charlotte.

This guy is making up serious ground on Nic Batum for being my most despised Hornets/Bobcats player ever.

He'll probably surpass him by the end of this season.

Hayward looks cooked!

Not sure why people want him back. He's making some bad decisions in crunch time and he's a vet!

Hes struggling but we don't win the Boston game without him.

The waive and stretch cements Batum at the top of my list.

Yeah I don't get the "Hayward sucks" take. Tonight was probably his worst game of the season and he still grabbed 9 boards and had 6 assists.

Indeed, Hayward is (when healthy) a solid player, and would be a huge help to a playoff team needing a key bench contributor.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

And two or three of the worst turnovers you'll see on top of inaccurate, super passive shooting

I'd gladly give back the BOS win for the multitude of other games we could have won -- both this season and in previous seasons -- if we had someone instead of him that we could actually count on to be at least relatively healthy, productive, and somewhat worth the money we are paying them.

This is what I had thought all this time, and yet he remains with us and it seems we can't offload him, so I don't know that other teams actually think that to be the case, especially when you factor in his contract and the fact you can't count on him to be on the court game in, game out (even worse, you pretty much can count on him to miss 20-40 games each season at this point).

yeah i don’t know what you guys are seeing, Hayward is getting cooked on both ends. he definitely looks slow and like he lost a step. we are starting him because we have no other option
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Ideally Hayward and Rozier would be playing McGowens and Ish current roles if everyone was healthy while we hunt for Rozier trades. If Cody is actually healthy he should cut deeply into Hayward and Terry's minutes, not Brandon or Miles

Multiple teams interested in Hayward per WT. Now is the time

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10099139-nba-rumors-hornets-gordon-hayward-focus-of-trade-calls-from-playoff-caliber-teams

The Charlotte Hornets are reportedly fielding calls from playoff-caliber teams interested in forward Gordon Hayward.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported the Hornets are currently committed to making their own playoff push but could adjust their thinking if they continue to struggle.

To me, that means we aren't trading him any time soon.

I cannot imagine we can get much out of him. Like some Gerald Wallace in 2011 type stuff at best (can't believe im still hurt by that)
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Playoff push???!!! Are they really that blind? They’re going to keep using the “when healthy this is a playoff team” as an excuse to resist change? So maddening.

I reckon that’s why he’s playing not totally fit, hoping to get on a play off team
